The Vine is on a quiet side street in the centre of Stafford and is a 15th century Grade 2 building. Given useful written info when checked in .Had to climb some steep steps to get to the room which was large and clean with a kingsize bed. The room was comfortable and had a smart TV. The shower was spacious . Breakfast was served in the pub area on the gound floor . The room was very good value .

Our stay at the vine was lovely, Pros convenient right in the centre, Loverly friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, tea coffee facilities. Cons, steep narrow stairs upto the top floor, really squeaky floor boards in the room kept waking others up in the room when getting up to use the bathroom in the night. Second time I’ve stayed and would definitely visit again.

The room was a little tired but this was to be expected at Stafford's oldest inn! The food was good, as was breakfast. However, it was the staff who made the stay memorable. Both ladies were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us, even holding our baby for a while when we ate dinner so we could use both our hands! We would happily stay here again.
