Glass House is the only unit in Sapphire Beach Resort without another building right next to and that gives you unrivaled privacy. The extra-large wrap around balcony with an additional set of slider doors and a window by the bed offers more space and light. Your front balcony is just 20 steps from the ocean, overlooking the Virgin Islands Archipelago while the side balcony overlooks our picturesque Marina. Glass House is perfect for couples, honeymooners and guests who appreciate privacy and higher end accommodations. Glass House has a constant breeze blowing from the ocean that gives you an option to cool the unit with just wind - just open the sliders! The second floor delivers better views and the privacy from anyone walking on the beach as well as the security to sleep with the sliding doors open to the breeze if you prefer that over the air conditioning. You can fall asleep hearing the waves crashing on the beach and wake up to the most beautiful sunrise you have ever seen with St. John and The British Virgin Islands framing your view. And in the morning, enjoying your coffee on your balcony will make you feel as you are floating on your own super yacht on the Caribbean Sea. You could not be any closer – you can smell the ocean air and hear the waves land on the beach. And, since the sun clocks around the building on the right side - it lets you indulge in the late afternoon light long after other units lose their sunlight. Step outside and find yourself on the beach – great snorkeling is right in front of you or just use a lounge chairs provided by the resort and enjoy the seaside. A coffee and ice cream shop, The BeachBuzz and a pizza and mojito bar, Paradise Pie, are all a few minutes walk right at Sapphire Beach. Where else would you want to grab a breakfast sandwich, a delicious smoothie or a specialty coffee but right at the beach! Lunch with a gourmet pizza and a specialty cocktail is also a must while visiting. Within a short walking distance to the right of E building, inside the Sapphire Village Complex - there is a new restaurant - Sudi's Caribbean Bar & Grille - with great food and awesome reviews on Trip Advisor! Red Hook, a charming Nautical little town on the Harbor that offers grocery shopping and restaurants is only 4 minutes away and a $6 taxi ride (available at the taxi stand at our resort). Red Hook also has Ferries to St. John and the BVIs. St. Thomas itself was wonderful, with easy access to St. John’s pristine beaches and simple options for day charters to the British Virgin Islands.Our host, Bobbie, was exceptional—helpful, responsive, and thoughtful in every way. She even prepared a beautifully laminated guidebook full of insider tips on local restaurants, beaches, and things to do (and avoid!).We can’t recommend this place highly enough. First of all, Billie was an amazing host. The condo was clean and the balcony was heavenly. I would definitely recommend sailing for the day over to St. John, we chose Vi Sailing that leaves right out of Sapphire Marina. My wife and I sadly just returned home from a week at Glass House on the Sea. We absolutely loved it! The condo is well kept and very clean with all the amenities you could possibly need. The location was perfect in my opinion. It's not right at the main beach, but it's a short walk. The view is excellent. You are right next to the marina. It's fun watching the boats going in and out. Also, watching the pelicans land on them hoping to get a little of their catch of the day. You are on the corner. I highly recommend Billie's suggestion of opening the glass doors and letting the trade winds blow through the condo. There are few things more relaxing than that.Billie gives you so much great information, I really didn't have many questions. When I did, Billie always quickly responded. The views from here were unbelievable! Even more beautiful than a picture! The check in and check out process was very easy. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the view of the islands and also watching the boats come in and out of the marina. Very relaxing stay. View from balcony is amazing! Condo has everything you need. Comes with snorkeling gear,beach towels, fridge, and coffee maker was nice. The pool and view from there incredible. The snorkeling there was awesome. Paradise Pie on beach there was really good. If you like pizza it's a must. If your looking for place in St. Thomas you can't go wrong with Glass House. The host were very helpful from the mi ute we booked amd answered many of our questions helping us plan our stay accordingly. We have stayed at Sapphire Beach many times, this is by far the most beautiful unit we have stayed in. Beautiful down island views as well as beautiful views of the marina. We enjoyed sitting on the deck late afternoon with a cocktail and watching the boats come in. It was also great being able to watch the fisherman come in and be forst in line for any extra fresh fish they may have! Everything was in perfect condition and very well appointed. Any help we needed while there, the host reaponded immediatly to help. This was our favorite stay, favorite location and great host. The only problem was 6 nights was not long enough (I had finally gotten accustomed to driving on the left side of the road)!! The unit was 110% as described & shown in pictures and extremely well maintained and pristine! The owner a great communicator and provided helpful information about the area or suggestions for groceries, shopping, dining, etc. We loved the location of the unit on property as it was quiet and had more of a secluded feel. The balcony was perfect for our morning coffee, all the extras provided such as beach towels, chairs, floats, snorkeling gear, etc was all appreciated and put to use. The kitchen was well stocked! Outside of our stay at Glass House By The Sea, everything thing else was perfect too - weather, polite people, good food, strong drinks and beauty all around. Thank you, Billie, for allowing us to stay at your place and for making our first trip to St Thomas exceptional and memorable. We will definitely return! ##### Joy C. We loved the view of the marina and St. John especially at night! There were several restaurants within walking distance of the rental. Sudi's was our favorite (be sure to try the key lime pie)! Billie made sure to check to see if there was anything we needed and made the process seamless! We also used VI Provisioning so our groceries were waiting for us when arrived.
