Property is right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets. Water was cool and clear. Perfect beach for younger children as it was shallow and calm. Spacious as it can sleep 16 people as advertised. Perfect for large families. However, house was very dated and could use an upgrade. Still has carpet. Had that old salty air smell. Main house with Master bath had slow drain and plumbing issues but upstairs loft had great water pressure. Need a new barbecue gas grill. Very deteriorated. Need a large blue recycle bin Careful for noseeums at dusk!!!! Host Andrew was amazing as he was willing to make a special accommodation for our family pet. Luckily found a dog sitter. No dogs allowed on beach. Overall we had a great time as we spent most time outdoors and on the beach. Indian Rock rocks!

We really enjoyed staying, just for one night, in this home. The beach lovers enjoyed the beach. The weather could have been more cooperative, but, that's mother nature. You never know what you will get. Overall, nice place to stay. As far as telling people to wash there dish items is fine, but you really need to tell your cleaing service to check to make sure they have cleaned them. Some of the coffee cups had to be washed before they could be used and 1 coffee pot was very dirty. It is clean now. There are still dirty cups in the downstairs kitchen. Thanks for letting us enjoy you home and make some great memories.

Beautiful, Large Beach House
We rented this house to host family flying in for our son’s wedding and loved our stay at this beautiful beach house! The house has so much character - high ceilings, wood floors and ceiling beams, and vintage bathroom tile and fixtures. Plus there was a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and washcloths, and several bathrooms. But besides having a ton of room for us and all our guests (13 adults and 3 kids total), the best thing was the view. The back of the house is literally steps from the beach. You can sit in the living room and watch the waves roll in. It was SO relaxing! We highly recommend this gorgeous beach house.

Thankful Thanksgiving
Our family of 11 (3 generations) had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving. We cooked for 11, dined out, and walked everywhere. Unexpectedly the nearby cvs was a huge benefit and this was just what we were looking for. Thank you for the wonderful home that allowed some wonderful memories.

Location can't be beat
We had a great time during our brief stay. Lots of room for our big group, and steps from the water. Definitely a unique property in that there are 2 completely separate living areas, both with plenty of room. Also great to be able to park 3 vehicles in driveway. Andrew was great, appreciate the late check out!

Spectacular Beach House
The entire group was extremely sad at check out. Pictures do not do this house justice. The location is wonderful with restaurants at walking distance, even though we didnt even want to leave the house. The house was extremely accomodating and comfortable and spacious so even though there were 11 of us, we each had our own space with a room left to spare. The kitchens are well equipped and doing a BBQ beachside with the sunset as your view was breathtaking. Defintely hope to be back soon!

The location was unbeatable - right on the beach and close to restaurants/bars! The house was just okay - plenty of space for our big group, but definitely not the nicest. You can tell the house/furnishings are older, which was fine for us. The location made it all worth it. Overall, we had a great trip!

Such a Great Stay!!!!
We are so happy with this house. The location on the beach of course is the best!!! But we also loved being able to walk and bike everywhere. Within a mile is almost anything you need. (Or call Publix and have it delivered) Andrew was prompt and accurate with all information to get us started and we didnt have any need for management after we got settled in. Air conditioner was great!! Any and all amenities you need for a beautiful week at the beach was there. We are Grandparents, Children and Spouses, and 5 Grandchildren 7- 16 and Everyone found their place comfortable and private. Loved the large dining table to come together. Thank you for the memories, they will be cherished.

We absolutely loved the beach house and the location. Right on the beach, uncrowded, very walkable to Indian Rocks Beach shops, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlor. The main floor part of the home has spacious common areas for group meals, gathering, and games. The two kitchens and two living rooms were perfect for our group of four families with lots of teens to have our own spaces and not feel too crowded. Beach chairs and beach towels are provided. If you’re driving in, bring along a big beach shade. Swimming, sunsets, beach walks, dolphins, we loved our week here!

Amazing Location - Great Vacation!
We stayed here as a group of friends and had an absolutely amazing trip. Having a beach front place is invaluable. In addition to being right on the beach, you are a short walk (under 10min) to the downtown area which had plenty of fun restaurants and shops. The location of this rental is just about as good as it gets. As others have noted, this is really like 2 units, but that did not stop us from being able to hang out as a group. Both units have plenty of space to hang out, but we found the downstairs to be sufficient for our group. During our stay we did have an issue with the AC Unit, but Andrew was on top of it and got it taken care of which was really appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this property - we will definitely be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach! This cottage is in a great location. It is an older home but it was very clean and so spacious. The host answered questions quickly and was very helpful which allowed us to organize this trip at the last minute. We will be back again soon!

Great multi generation family trip
We enjoyed the house for our multi generational family stay in town. The house location is stellar - steps to the beach, close to many restaurants and a lot of living space. The roof give a great view of the sunset. The manager was great and handled our requests quickly with ease. Tons of beach chairs, towels and toys. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you need. A nearby Publix grocery delivery as we arrived made everything a breeze. Two pieces of feedback are that the house is a bit musty from the sea moisture and could use a small scent. And that the bath towels are small and a bit dated. We had a great time and we would definitely come stay again.

We had several families stay and LOVED this house. So roomy and amazing beachfront access.
We LOVE this house! Several families joined together and with the 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, patio and roof deck, it was sooooo perfect! Beach and bath towels, beach chairs and well supplied kitchen made it so relaxing. We just had to pack clothes and food pretty much. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops, can’t beat it. We ordered pizza one night and grilled the other night (propane grill on-site!). We’ll be back!!!

House was as per described how can you go wrong with a beach house on the gulf of Mexico. Shorty walk to surf sun and sand I few things could be up grade the beds and bed frames and maybe a patio table and chairs outside on beach patio rather then a wooden picnic table. This is a beautiful property sitting perfectly in front of the beach. The check in process was easy and property was spotless clean when we arrived. It can easily accommodate a large group and you can’t beat the view you get from bedrooms and the living area. We had a wonderful time here. We will definitely go there again.

Amazing location!
This is a great property for a large group. Many bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy and spacious areas for entertaining and relaxing. Proximity to the beach cannot be beat. Property is old and not well ventilated for the humid location. There is a musky smell, especially in some of the beds. It was also not cleaned very well considering that we received the check in codes half an hour after check in was supposed to be available. Wouldn’t have been an issue if we were informed, especially since I had asked if it was possible to check in an hour early and was told it shouldn’t be a problem and he would get back to us. Next we heard from the manager was past check in time. We had a great time though!

Overall a fantastic location although the weather, as you know, was unusually cold. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the beach even though bundled up. Having 2 living spaces also worked out very well for our 10 member family.

A Thanksgiving week for family
We scrambled to find another place after Ian destroyed Captiva and Sanibel and we were lucky enough to find Independence Square. Unbeatable location
Perfect house for large groups in an unbeatable location. Right on the beach and just a short walk to restaurants and bars. Back patio with gas and charcoal grills is great for relaxing with friends and family. Fully stocked kitchen if you want to cook. Everything was clean and there were lots of beach chairs available. Who could ask for more?!

2 Night Birthday getaway
The property was very clean. The picture window downstairs had the best view. Having beach chairs and towels there was a big plus. The beach was beautiful. We walked to Crabby Bills for dinner and to get ice cream at the shop. It was a lot of fun. There are other restaurants that are walkable. We would recommend this property for large groups lots of space. There are 2 separate entrances. Maybe each could be rented out separate for smaller families.

If you want the perfect beach house for your vacation ...this is it. The property is huge and great for multiple families. It’s an easy walk from the house down to the beach. Both kitchens were stocked with most anything you would need. There were plenty of towels provided. Laundry on site. Picnic table on the patio and grills were there too. Would be nice to have more seating that could be moved to shaded area. My family and I spent most of our time outside but there are multi tv’s so if you want some tv time it’s there. The upper unit has a rooftop deck that has a nice view. Andrew was very helpful and quick to respond. He was very accommodating. The workers were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone who needs to get away from the hustle and bustle to go here and let the beautiful beach take you to your happy place.😊

We had a great stay. The house is outdated but it was clean. We couldn't find the chairs during ours stay and there were some minor things we could have had fixed during our stay but we didn't feel the need. For the most part it was perfect. I do not recommend if you have a dog. The ground is unbearably hot on a good day and completely unsafe. There are no dogs allowed at the beach. You would have to load up the dog and drive to a dog friendly area to go to the bathroom. Six plus times a day gets exhausting especiallywhen you came to relax. My dog suffered terrible anxiety being stuck inside because there was no where for him to go outside. Also I do not like being so disconnected from the other guests because this is two different units -but that's just my personal opinion. There is a lot to be desired in decor and comfort but the location is what you come for and it does not disappoint. It has loads of potential.

We just returned from this property and we loved it. It is a VERY roomy house with a lot of character. There are 2 kitchens. That is a huge benefit when you have a large group. There were 10 of us ranging from 14 to mid-80s. 4 family groups. Everyone had enough space. The kitchen is well stocked with nice pots and pans. Consider bringing storage containers or zip locks if you are cooking and need leftovers. There is a TON of pantry space. I actually wish I had this much at home. The downstairs kitchen has 2 large pantries. For a large group, this was super helpful. The under-house area is amazing. Covered spots for 3-4 cars. Even a way to open a gate and easily put things from the back of the car onto the porch to get into the house. This made unloading our things a breeze. It was also a great place to rinse chairs and floats before returning home. The house is right on the beach. You take about 10 steps and there you are. You can't get much closer. The beach was lovely. Sandy, hot, wet, just like it should be. Plenty of sandy beach for beach games, sand castles, or resting with a cocktail and book. There are some strange things to be aware of. These did not make us unhappy, but you should know. The very upstairs bedroom is a loft and doesn't have a door that closes. This didn't matter to us. It is still completely private. No way to see up there, even if you wanted to. There is no large table inside the house. There is a TON of room to lay a blanket on the floor and have kids eat picnic style and places to sit and eat on your knees. There is a large picnic table outside. The only way between the 2 floors is an outside staircase. Not a big deal for our family. We had rain 2 nights, but the upstairs folks were more than happy to hang with us until the rain stopped. We had one small problem when we were there. Beach houses have a lot of wear and tear from salty air, so we always expect this kind of thing. The rental group was very responsive and had someone out to make a repair within hours. I was super impressed, especially since I had to call them at close to midnight. This was a really great house for a large group. Location was amazing. House was well stocked and ready for us. We loved our week here.

Highly Recommend for Large Groups, Amazing Vacation House
Stayed here with my family of 10 for a week. What an amazing house. Right on the beach and big enough for us all to spread out so we weren't all on top of each other. 3 bedrooms downstairs with a full kitchen and large living room with 3 more bedrooms kitchen and living up stairs. This property is right on Gulf Blvd and conveniently located to many restaurants and grocery stores. There are beach chairs, toys and towels which was a huge plus so we could travel light. Short walk to the beach from the back steps. We were the first the rent this property and we are so glad we did. House was very clean and contact with the owner was easy. Will definitely keeping this place in mind when traveling with a group again.
