You just have to walk right across the street to the beach. As listed, there are chairs and some beach supplies available. Close to restaurants and shops. The condo is nice, comfortable beds, nice pool and hot tub, a/c works great. Loved having a washer and dryer. Only complaint is that most of the dishes we went to use out of the cabinet had food stuck on them, and there is only 1 pot and 1 pan. Aug 1, 2023 Liked: Communication, location #### A Cozy Stay with Some Wear and Tear at Madeira Beach VRBO Property I recently had the opportunity to stay at this property in Madeira Beach, and while my experience had its ups and downs, overall, it was a decent stay. Upon arriving at the property, it was evident that it was frequently rented out. Unfortunately, this resulted in a slightly worn feeling throughout the condo. From the balcony railing to the doors and closets, everything seemed to show signs of use. Despite this, the condo complex itself was pleasantly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat during our vacation. One of the main drawbacks of the property was the state of some of its amenities. The dishwasher was outdated and had an annoying leak, which made meal cleanup a bit of a hassle. Additionally, we noticed a minor leak in the shower, which required some extra attention to avoid any water damage. On the upside, the beds were comfortable and provided a good night's rest after a day of beach activities and exploration. The location of the condo was undoubtedly the highlight of the stay; it was conveniently situated right across the street from Madeira Beach, offering easy access to the sandy shores and beautiful sunsets. While some of the amenities left something to be desired, the property owner was responsive and attentive to our concerns. DVD rental was great, a free Redbox located about a mile away but not inconvenient. Mattress was amazing, going to buy same onefor home. Excellent short walk to beach and condo had some nice beach chairs available. Our first time in Miadiera Beach was perfect thanks to this sweet condo! Great view! Saw several dolphins from the balcony! You cannot beat the location of any property at Madeira Bay & we have stayed at several. This is just feedback for improvement, and not meant to be critical at all…the clothes hangers were mostly child size. I went and bought adult hangers and left them there for future guests. Lots of dust in less than obvious places, and I wound up recleaning some things myself. Even some dishes in the cupboard were dusty. The dishwasher start/cancel button is broken. If planning on doing any amount of cooking the cooking supplies are limited. Beach access is right in front of the building, so that part was great. ##### Craig P. We have stayed in a lot of properties via VRBO, this one is at the bottom of our list. Unit was old and dirty. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, the base boards were filthy and the floor was dirty. There was no deadbolt on the door so it didn’t feel very safe. The umbrellas at the pool were torn and need replaced. The walls are thin, we could hear everything from the unit above us and next to us. ##### Amber P. Across the road we overlooked the inlet and saw great sunrises and liked watching fish jump and the manatee and boats. Our frustration with the apt included both maintenance and cleanliness issues. The tile floors in the kitchen were dirty...just not sufficiently washed...seemed like someone went over a grimy floor with a dirty mop. There was sand in one bedroom and the closet with beach stuff was full of sand...chairs and boogie boards covered in sand. One boogie board broken. The laundry closet also had sand everywhere and a bunch of beach stuff thrown into the water heater area that was hard to reach. The dryer had no lint filter. The dishwasher left our dishes which we had rinsed off before loading covered with dried food waste. I disassembled the filter and found it caked with gunk, even hair, that I could not wash off as it had been baked in. Only the pots and pan cycle worked. Texting the company provided a quick response but I’m not willing to have repair service come during the few days I have to spend with my adult kids before going back to work. For the cost of this place plus the fees plus the cleaning costs, I felt taken advantage of. Obviously the owner is absentee and does not care about the property. It’s just a money maker. We will never stay at this kind of condo place again and will go back to the small cottage/beach house kind of places where the local owners or managers provide caring service. Also there was an add on fee at the last minute for the VRBO listing which was NOT disclosed on VRBO at the time of contracting for the property.
