This location was perfect to see St. Louis sites such as the Arch, Science Center, Zoo and is close to highways. The area is historical and undergoing gentrification. I was worried about the neighborhood but it was just fine we barely even seen anyone. The house is absolutely gorgeous and extremely spacious. There was 6 in our party and not once did we feel cramped or no privacy. Host answered any questions I had and the garage to park in was an added bonus as well as being pet friendly! There are two flights of stairs to access all areas of the home so just be aware for anyone with limited mobility. The rooms are all well appointed and very comfortable. There were plenty of towels provided and the kitchen seems very well stocked with cookware and plates/cups/silverware. The garage parking was an absolute bonus for a rainy weekend. We loved the proximity to the highway for access to any parts of the city. The view of the arch from the top level is stunning. This was our fifth rental, and the best so far. It was truly a relief to land here. One important benefit is that this unit is modern. The majority of housing in central city St. Louis was constructed over a hundred years ago. The houses are close together which prohibits sunlight from entering except through front and back windows. And windows in those days were small by contemporary standards. The first four places we stayed (all listed through a major local short term rental management company) were clearly photoshopped to create an impression of bright, cheerful interiors. However this was never the case and we were always disappointed by the dreary feeling inside. Here the photos accurately represent the property. The house is clean, contemporary and filled with sunlight. The owner, Jessica, was quick to respond to any questions or needs that came up. This will be our number one choice should we pass through in the future. We love the Lafayette Square neighborhood, with the park and restaurants. This turned out to be the perfect place to stay. It was convenient to everything. Less than a 10 minute drive to all the major attractions.
