### 1st Fl King+Queen Beds, Steps to Metrolink, Free parking lot

Book your 5 ⭐️ stay in this spacious first floor family-friendly suite in the desirable DeBaliviere neighborhood. Only a 2 block walk from Forest Park & its Metrolink train stop, your group will have access to everything the city has to offer. This 100-year-old historic home is just blocks from Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair Exposition. Walkable to Forest Park, the Metrolink train stop, the Delmar Loop, restaurants, and shopping.  
  
UPDATED May 30, 2025: Our neighborhood was hit with the May 16th tornado which was 1 mile wide and 23 miles long. Although many homes along its path were devastated, the buildings along our street mainly suffered roof damage, broken windows and uprooted trees. The city has cleaned most of that up and the area is getting back to normalcy. Our building received minimal damage and has been fully occupied.  
  
"Suites in the Lou" offers 6 private suites in one building - great for a large group which may want to all stay in one place. These can be found online at "SuitesintheLou". To see our other suites, go to my PROFILE page for a listing of all our accommodations in the same building.  
  
This 1st floor 2-bedroom/1 bath suite sleeps 5-6 guests. Enjoy a king bedroom for you plus a second bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. A twin-sized rollaway bed is stored in the closet for your 6th guest.  
  
After stocking the refrigerator, cook up a family dinner and enjoy it around the table in the large living room/dining room.

Need to get around town? Metrolink, buses and quick access to Forest Park Parkway and I-170 makes it easy!  
  
A Metrolink station is conveniently located in DeBaliviere Place. You can hop on the Skinker/DeBaliviere stop and head all the way to the Lambert International Airport or right downtown. We're proud that our neighborhood boasts excellent public transit. We're also centrally located, so you can take a short walk, ride, or drive to the Delmar Loop, Washington University, the Central West End, or Forest Park. There are plenty of quality dining, retail, and entertainment choices that are within walking distance. DeBaliviere Place simply presents the best that St. Louis has to offer.

How to Find our Building: Because we are on a dead-end street, you can only access our address coming from the East. There is no direct access from DeBaliviere Avenue.  
  
Fenced Parking: Access to the parking lot is only available after you arrive and check into your unit. A key to your back door entrance will be waiting for you on the kitchen counter. In the meantime, feel free to find a parking spot out front on the street.

#### Spring break trip

My husband & kids stayed at this property for a spring break trip. It is a great location, just as described, older building which gives it character & good space for a family of four. The only negative thing I can say is that the living room furniture (couch, chair) are old & need to be replaced. They were both really uncomfortable. The listing said gated parking & we wanted that for safety but the gate wouldn’t ever close so it stayed open all day & night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is a great location & close to all kinds of attractions.

This unit worked well for us. The location was great with easy access to downtown attractions. It is definitely is a vintage building (which I appreciate), so not a good pick for someone looking for modern. Great value in my opinion.

#### College rental with 2nd hand furniture at best

My family stayed here after dropping my son off at college. I live in an old home and this property is run down, falling apart and not maintained. I was very disappointed and we were taken advantage of, fee is overpriced compared to the conditions. The furniture is in poor shape, damaged, fabric stained, master bedroom mattress was very old and lumpy, floors and walls need attention, outside the grass is long, weeds, pile of shattered car glass on ground inside gated parking, tossed out furniture, port a potty, construction bins, etc.Verry shabby!

We loved the charm of this 100 year old building and the proximity to the hospital where our Mother was being treated. The off-street gated parking is an added bonus! We found the suite clean, the beds comfortable with several different pillows choices. The bathroom and kitchen was amply stocked, and instructions well posted. We were on the first level with other guests above us and it was less disruptive than an average hotel room. We used the dining table for all meals and the single bed with double bed in the same room worked well for our family. Our host was outstanding and I recommend staying with them wholeheartedly!

#### Stay at Suites in the Lou

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was exactly as described, very clean and quiet and in a great neighborhood close to Forest Park and public transportation. The manager, Libby, responded immediately when I had an inquiry. It was a great experience for me and my family.

Overall the place was as advertised and the hose responded well to a few questions and gave good recommendations for food etc (highly recommend Macks) Keep in mind it is a very old building that has some "bumps and bruises" but would stay at again. Very close for Forest Park!

Nice home with lots of space. Comfy beds and toys / books for kids! Loved walking the neighborhood and seeing all the older homes. Super close to the zoo! A+ property owner.

#### Near Forest Park, Clean Home

I had a little trouble entering due to a mistake in the entry code by host and a little challenge contacting her. The home is old and historic but clean and very short drive from Forest Park, Clayton and well located. However, the neighborhood did not feel safe to walk in at night. So, we could not walk to restaurants or just walk around.

#### Old, not charming, but clean

My family (two adults, two teens) spent two nights here to visit WashU. While the property photos depict the same space, they do not show how dark this property is inside, and how much the paint and floors need updating. I would rate this “fair” at best. Everything - towels, sheets, coffee, soaps - was basic, more motel than hotel grade. The plaster walls and ceilings have cracks and repair marks; the kitchen floor tile is cracked; the window blinds are cheap plastic. It felt overpriced for what we got. On the other hand, Libby the manager was extraordinarily communicative and kind, including texting us and providing a recommendations for a alternate transportation and food when our travel plans went awry. She was a 5-star host, and I had high hopes for the space, but it need match up.

#### Great place and location

Came in town with some friends for an event downtown. There were 4 of us and the space was perfect. The location was great as well. It was easy to get to several areas nearby that we wanted to visit. Excellent service from the renter too. Didn't have any issues the entire weekend. Would definitely stay there again.
