Enjoy a sunset view of the river from the patio, living room, or the 2nd bedroom. Nestled just outside of town… a few blocks away, find new mountain bike trails. 2 miles away sits a casino, boat ramp, boat dock, conservation center, and a new riverwalk path that provides a peaceful path to historic downtown St. Joseph! Museums, great food, and amazing sunsets await you! Spacious two bedroom, full sized apartment on ground level, with an amazing sunset view! Each bedroom is equipped with a super comfy queen bed to ensure you get a good night\`s rest! For larger groups, you will find a high-quality inflatable single bed with a built-in pump for your convenience. This is located at the beginning of a private road with 5 other homes on it. Next door is a small boat ramp and on the opposing side, you will see the other cabins located on this private road. About a block away, you can expect to see a boat shop and storage units for boats. 1 mile away, there are baseball fields and the beginning of the Riverwalk Trail! Two miles away is the casino and brand new mountain bike trails. Just a couple more miles to historical downtown St. Joseph! If you’re looking for an authentic riverfront getaway, with neighbors that will welcome you like family and a sunset view that never gets old, you will love it here 🙌🏼 Note: There is a train that passes by about a block and a half away so if you’re a light sleeper, sleep in the room closest to the river or use a white noise app or fan like I do!(I live one block away) Car, bike, and taxi are all good options Sliding doors are very large and heavy so use both handles to slide them. Damage deposit is $500\. This preauthorization will be refunded/disappear from your bank/credit card statement 4 days after you check out and there\`s confirmation that there were no damages or extra cleaning from your stay. Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside! 🚭 $1000 minimum fine if rule is broken. If you smoke outside, be sure your cigarettes end up in the trash, not on the ground. All guests and pets must be accounted for in the booking! Unauthorized pets/guests can result in a fine of up to $100 per pet/guest per day. If you brought a pet, do not leave them at the property unsupervised unless they are kenneled. Unsupervised dogs tend to tear down curtains, bark, and get on furniture. No animals on the furniture or beds! Breaking this rule can result in extra cleaning up to $200. If your dog barks when you leave, please take them with you. Barking disruptions to neighboring guests can result in them wanting to cancel and you will be responsible for their refund amount if you are the cause. If you use appliances, dishes, etc, please clean, dry, and return everything where you found them or make previous arrangements to hire the maid to do this for you otherwise additional cleaning fee will be assessed. The included maid services will take care of linens, towels, wipe down, taking out trash, sweep, dust, and mop, but please pick up after yourself and be tidy. The sunset river views were excellent. It is located in a fairly remote area with a handful of other residences but close to many convenient shops. The casino is located just down the road and the old psychiatric hospital was worth the tour. We had a minor issue with the remote to run the AC and sent a message to the owner and did not receive a response back, it was fine as we ended up figuring out the remote needed new batteries and the directions for battery placement in remote are actually wrong. So there was some guy in a bobcat right outside our back door one of the days.There wasnt any grass to be able to pull the fire pit out. There is no way that it could have slept 6 like it said. Beds were very comfy and the cabin had a nice home feel. Felt like you walked into a relatives house loaded with things for cooking or games for entertainment. The location is, hmmm, interesting but it was nice to be close to casino if that is your thing. Overall will definitely plan on staying again. Loved watching the geese and eagles.
