This fully tiled, pet-friendly, home offers a tranquil beachfront getaway for up to 18 guests. Sunset Beach is a small, quiet, gated community directly adjacent to the seven miles of the more secluded beaches of Julian G. Bruce SGI State Park. We only stayed one night and were scheduled for a week. You can't beat the location. Directly on the beach, steps away from the State Park, and within the safety and comfort of the Sunset Beach gated community. But we were very disappointed with the property. It seems that it has not been updated in many years. The family room furniture was worn, the kitchen cabinets were dirty and the tv's were not connected to the internet so that entertainment apps (other than Netflix) could be downloaded from our phones. The same could be said for the bedroom TVs which were very small in size. This may sound "petty" but there is a certain expectation that comes with this type of rental property.
