GCE&L Inc. has a rapid response policy & as per contract will respond to any elevator issue as per its urgency . This elevator has a 25 year estimated life span & is currently in it's 11 th year . However as with all mechanical devices break downs ( while rare ) Are always a possibility ! In the unlikely event of a breakdown in which required parts are not locally available or are temporarily out of stock the required repair may take several days . unfortunately in this event we can not be responsible to reimburse the renter for the entire cost of the rental . We also highly recommend that if there is a member of your rental party who has a physical impairment that renders them unable to negotiate stairs that you make sure there are other members of the rental party who can assist the disabled person or persons up & down the stairs in the event of an emergency or until such time as the elevator repair can be completed . It’s a well appointed and comfortable place. Our only issue was having to go through one of the bedrooms to get to the rest. It limited privacy for that guest. The elevator was not working so this was the only option. The house was great for our needs - a bit oddly laid out but it didn't really matter. Ultimately, we had everthing we needed and were very comfortable. The area in general is a fantastic piece of the gulf coast - not overdeveloped like so many other places and a real laid back vibe that we were after. And truly some of the best seafood we've ever had (oysters and shrimp for sure). All-in-all strongly recommend this house and location for a relaxing and beatiful gulf coast getaway ##### Benjamin M.
