Well furnished and the backyard is gorgeous. We liked the location of the house with a walkway to the beach right there. However, the week we were there the dishwasher was broken. Needed to be replaced soooo we handwashed morning noon and night. Not what I wanted to do. And for the elderly a word of caution...37 steps from car to kitchen. We (4 adults, 6 kids, 1 dog) had a really nice vacation at St George Island. The house met our needs, was clean, and spacious. Loved: The location- super easy beach access, very private feeling. Spacious- plenty of room for 10 + a dog. Place for everyone to eat and hang out in the living room. While the house says it can accommodate 14, i think 12 would be the max i would put in this space. Could be better: The main fridge still has a broken shelf (i saw it was mentioned a year ago in a review). Its annoying b/c you essentially lose a shelf and you have to juggle things around. The upstairs bedroom does not have appropriate duct work and it does not get a/c as a result. It is HOT if you do not leave the door to the living room open. The tiki area is neat, but a few big holes in the screen allow the mosquitos in. If you've ever stayed in the Plantation you know there are tons of mosquitos. The screens really need fixed in order to make this space usable. Overall the house was fine. We could walk across the road to get to the beach, and had a decent view of the beach from the kitchen. The private pool was beautiful, cleaned everyday. It was positioned where most of the day you could get some sun and the end of the day there was some shade provided by the nice palm trees surrounding it. The house and everything in it was very clean and kept very nice. We have stayed in a lot of houses and some could take a note from this one book. A very short drive and walk to the jetty. We found a perfect little cove to have a beach day, where we fished, swam, explored and relaxed. The house had everything we needed from a fully equipped kitchen to family games, plenty of linens, soap, shampoo and conditioners in every bathroom and lots of towels. This exceeded our expectations! We were very happy vacationers! We would recommend this house to anyone! We will be coming back for a third trip to St George Island! ##### Cheryl B. We did not use the room with 3 bunk beds (sleeps 6) but would be great for kids. The living/dining area was great! Also has a separate bar area! 1/2 bath is in the living/dining area. The Tiki Room offered option for happy hour on a few days (screened in with ceiling fan). Outside shower in tiki room is roomy with hot and cold water!! The pool and pool area is fabulous! Beach access is right in front of the house. Two covered parking spots. We had other family join us for the week. They stayed at Dolphin\`s Watch - close beachfront property.
