A Desert Oasis is a gorgeous newly renovated property in the Sports Village resort. Designed to be the perfect vacation condo for you to enjoy during your stay here in Southern Utah. This astonishing new reno can sleep up to 1-6 guests in comfort, it features two bedrooms, a bunk-bay (Full base, single on top bunk, and personal TV), and one bathroom. It has brand new bedding, dishes, and pots and pans. This condo has a brand new full kitchen, dining area, as well as an open floor plan to make spending time with family and friends easy! This condo also has a private, spacious front patio that's the perfect place to start or end your days while vacationing. By simply relaxing, all while taking in the stunning landscapes, sunsets, and sunrises that Southern Utah has to offer. This amazing vacation condo also includes many fun amenities for you to choose from. A Desert Oasis includes an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. All of these being just a short walk from your front door! There is something for everyone at this awesome condo! Desert Oasis is closely located to many restaurants, shops, fun things to do, or adventures to go on. About 1/4 mile up the road from the condo is one of St. George's finest mountain bike trails, Bearclaw Poppy. This trailhead offers a network of trails ranging in different difficulty levels, so anyone from beginners to pros can ride on it. Come see where adventure takes you, here at A Desert Oasis. NOTE: Recent changes to the homeowners association insurance coverage has required removal of private grills. There are community grills available for use at the club house. PARKING: There is free parking around the community. There is also fenced parking available to rent for Trailers and RV's. Rented at the clubhouse $5 a day. No reservations, first come first serve. Clubhouse is open until 10pm. PETS: This home is pet friendly so the whole family can tag along for the vacation! Bringing a pet, you will be subject to a one time $150 fee per pet. Please notify us of the number, breed and weight of any pets you will be bringing. (all animals must be under 50 pounds) We ask that you do not allow your pets onto the furniture. We do provide lint rollers at the home for your use to assist us in removal of pet hair from furniture and bedding. While it is impossible to remove all signs of pet hair, our cleaners do thoroughly clean the entire home including bedding and furniture. Guest Room 1 - Queen Bed. This room is the darkest if you like to sleep in a little longer. Sleeps 1-2 persons Guest Room 2 - Queen Bed. Light bright and more space. Ideal if you have a need for a pack-n-play with you. Sleeps 1-2 persons Kids-Zone: This is a bunk bed, with a double on the lower portion that folds into a couch by day, bed by night, with a single on top. This space can sleep 1-3 people. Ideal for 5-16 year olds. (This space does have its own TV for kids shows). Please refer to pictures, it is not a separate bedroom. A simple blow dryer use would trip the fuse and go out. The microwave would work for a short time, then it would go out, wait for a while, then turn back on. The bathtub was not clean. I don't think having an electrical cord come out of the closet and plugged into an outlet was a safe option, nor having bunk beds right next to an exposed water was a great option either. However, we found dirty dishes in the cabinets. We contacted the manager a week prior to arrival to confirm there was no washer/dryer, and were told "no". So we purchased detergent and other supplies to use at a local laundry. And brought extra clothes to get by. Surprise the unit had a washer/dryer! The second day, the electric door lock quit working. We contacted the manager's phone (voice mail) several times, but didn't end up with a lockable front door for three days. There was no lockbox, so there was no key available. That meant we had to collect all valuables each day to pack in the car. The VRBO folks we contacted about security indicated they couldn't help, it was a property manager problem. The problem is in the bunk bed area that had a beam running so close to the top bunk we were forced to move a kid to the couch after multiple times hitting their head. That isn't a huge deal, but the second bedroom is a problem. The bedroom is a converted covered patio. They didn't connect it to the main HVAC. There is a secondary AC/Heater but in the extreme southern Utah heat it wasn't even close to enough. The thermometer on our watches continually showed 90-95 during the day with the AC on full. The unit wasn't working well on the first day because the hoses connecting to the outside vent kept falling off. Maintenance came by and used packing tape to try to fix it. Even when fully working it didn't help the room. From the outside you can still see the patio wooden floor planks, heat radiates through the floor and the walls. The blinds are not blackout, so the western sun bakes the room. It took until around midnight each day to get the temps down to the high 70s. When asked about it to them maintenance crew they said this was a strange unit, and others that did similar things hooked into the HVAC of the main unit. ##### Ryan M. It's great for those who don't want to camp (me) - and I would have given it 5 stars, however, the door has a battery lock that was about to die upon arrival (which was quickly replaced when contacted) - and there is no deadbolt or chain lock for an extra layer of security beyond the coded lock, which anyone can access with the code. It left me a little uneasy that there was no additional door lock when you are inside the unit. ##### Kyle S.
