You need at least 3 days here to enjoy the activities and view—outside the cabin. Each cabin looked and smelled of new wood and had VERY clean interiors. Everyone from the phone staff to the security were friendly and personable. Better and cheaper than any hotel I’ve stayed at this year. It's location near Civil War historical sites was wonderful. The cabin itself needs upgrades. You sink so far into the couch it's difficult to get back out. The mattress in all beds need to be replaced as well.The thing that really turned us off was the large black ants in the bathroom. Was able to get me in a little early than expected. Cabin waa clean for the most wife found a dead bug on the bed. The beds were a little hard for my liking. Maybe some foam toppers would help out. But over all we had a great time with the family. We really enjoyed the beautiful water views and the hot tub! I wish the indoor pool was open a little later, but the kids were able to get in an hour of swimming before it closed.
