Loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves and looking at the ocean stretch as far as I could see! The condo was spacious and comfortable for my family. Appreciated the two full baths so we didn’t have to share with our kids. Condo is in a great location on the southern part of the island. Pool is huge, clean and beautiful, and it is nice to have access to the Pearl pool and swim up bar too. So much fun. The beach is crowded but so huge it doesn’t bother you a bit! Only complaint was having to go to the SPI rental office first before checking in…added about 30 minutes onto the process just to get a card that we take with us to check in again at the actual sapphire. Surely there is a way this could be done online. But overall an awesome stay, we definitely would love to come back! ##### Mary H. The elevators were quick and the people friendly. We did have issues the last 2 days. We were getting ready to do laundry before we headed out on the next leg of our trip and we had no electricity or water the whole day! When we finally could proceed that evening, the dryer refused to work! Of course this was not found out until too late in the evening to do anything about it. We had to leave for our next location with wet laundry and dirty laundry. The Sapphire Resort is one of the nicest properties in South Padre, both in my opinion and confirmed by local Uber and taxi drivers . The views for the condo face both the ocean and the inlet and are fantastic. Our party was made up of 6 adults ages 25-35\. We were extremely comfortable in the condo. It was the perfect six for people. We had 2 instances of the A/C going out in the middle of the night. Both instances were attributed to power outages and were fixed within 20 minutes of us notifying the front desk. My only negative comment is in relation to the check-in process. One must drive to the rental office to check in and then back to the condominium to receive instructions and room keys....a bit inconvenient, especially if you don't have a vehicle and all of your luggage, etc. In addition, the room was supposed to be ready at 4pm, but they wouldn't allow us to check-in until 5pm when the room was ready. All in all, this is one of the nicest places I have stayed in a "beach town" situation. The facilities(room, pool, staff, beach access, etc.)are outstanding! Our party was particularly impressed with the beach and the ability to go far into the ocean with a relatively shallow sandy bottom.
