"The apartment is nicely and comfortably furnished, extremely clean, and in a good location, within walking distance of stores and restaurants. The detailed, online instructions regarding use of appliances and equipment were excellent. When we had questions, the response to our text messages was immediate. The kitchen pots, pans, dishes and utensils were sufficient to cook a full meal. The hosts were kind enough to leave a starter supply of tea, and kitchen and bath essentials were good quality and in sufficient supply for our stay.Parking is very close by. We felt safe and secure both inside and outside the apartment. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!"

"We were super happy with the apartment. James and Mandy sent us all the info we needed well in advance, so no issues with checking in. The rooms are great, and it's actually a very spacious apartment! Perfect place to relax for the night. Beds were comfortable and everything you need to make a coffee, tea, or small meal is in the kitchen. On top of that, the location is fabulous! Walking distance to the main streets of Lerwick. We rented a car to explore beyond town. We'd definitely rent again."

"Pleased to have booked here. Thought the price a bit steep but had a very pleasant three nights stay? Staff amazing, cheerful and helpful and nothing too much trouble. Building is tired double glazed units blown etc but really enjoyed my stay. Food excellent loads and nice and hot. Free breakfast not mentioned so very grateful. Be warned croissants dissapeard quickly."

"The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The breakfast was nice and it wasn’t noisy despite being next to the road. Overall a nice place to stay when exploring northern Shetland."

"Great location next to Bains Beach in Lerwick.Nice conversion of former Butchers shop / blanked off window would give greater light to living area.Very well equipped and comfortable.If you have a vehicle parking can be awkward as expected.Contact with “hosts” are not the actual owners - chat lines and phone calls are via The Philippines.Booked through Shetland Stays but seemed to be tied up with this site - seems to be indiscriminate pricing.Would I return - if they’d have me - you bet I would."

"Booking the property was very easy and the VRBO posting accurately reflected our experience there. This property is beautiful and peaceful...even the drive to the location is very scenic. The location is amazing, on the water the views are great. The property was immaculate, had everything we needed for our family of 10 adults. The property is very nicely decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The host promptly responded to any questions. What was amazing that I have not seen from other VRBO rentals was the comprehensive online guest guide that not only told you all the things to see in the area but also how to work the kitchen appliances...everything you need to know about the property was documented in the online guest guide. If you are planning a visit to the Shetlands, I would highly recommending staying here. We were very fortunate during our stay as we did not experience any rain until our last day...it was windy but no rain."
