While we appreciate the potential of the property, the current state of amenities and maintenance made for a less-than-ideal vacation.Upon arrival, we were immediately impacted by a refrigerator that was not cold, necessitating a delay in proper food storage. This was a considerable inconvenience and something that should have been addressed prior to our check-in.The hot tub took an excessive amount of time to heat up, rendering it unusable for extended periods and limiting our enjoyment of this anticipated amenity.Furthermore, several in-cabin features were problematic: \* Our TV would not connect to the house internet, preventing us from watching television in the bedroom. \* The dryer was highly inefficient, taking 1.5 hours to dry just 6 towels. The house was spacious to accommodate all of us. The game room was a hit with the young and older kids. And the hot tub was a nice touch after a cold swim in Lake Tahoe. The home needs some love and attention: - Some beds were rock hard - Another had a metal box spring that squeeks with every move being very annoying, making bed unusable - Microwave turntable did not work properly - Dishwasher bottom rack was broken making diswasher difficult to use - Grill iginitor does not work requiring a lighter to light the gas - No available beach towels requiring purchasing towels to go to beaches - Communic ation with Branch was excellent. There is a great big table so everyone was able to sit together for dinner and then play some pool and other games downstairs. The host was very attentive when I would ask questions prior to arrival and we were even able to check in a little early:). The house was clean and full of entertainment for kiddos. Perfect parking for 4 cars. Hot tub was great!! From past reviews I’ve read some appliances didn’t work very well, however, looks they they replaced and fixed everything because all was good! Honestly, looks like they actually care and read the reviews. U can’t ask for more:). Yes, bring the basics as the house only has 2 towel sets per bedroom. Good thing we came prepared with paper towels and extra toilet paper:). Oh and yes, very icy out front, so be careful u may slip. That’s Mother Nature for u. The only thing that went wrong was the oven in the main house. Looks like a lot of grease was left and the house got real Smokey. However, we made it work. We used oven in guest house and there u have it. All in all we had an amazing time. Would love to rent this house again. Loved making new memories. And the host was very easy to work with.
