Part of the sought-after Montgomery Estates, this home is ideally located 4 miles from Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort. For the active ones in your group, hiking trails depart nearly from your front door, and ski slopes and beaches are within easy driving distance. Not to mention shopping, dining, and casinos are all close driving from here! Cyclists will enjoy a large garage that provides plenty of space for large vehicles - even a van with bicycle racks fits easily. If you’re more the “stay in” sort, you’ll love it here, too. We recently gave this four-level house a facelift with the help of a professional interior decorator who inventively combined “classic” and “new” to create the ultimate alpine retreat. Enjoy Tahoe-inspired artwork, luxurious bathrooms, custom wood floors, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen that opens to the dining area. The main bedroom has wooded views and a luxury en suite bathroom with a jetted tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a comfy bed. The third bedroom is great for kids with its two bunk beds and the fourth bedroom is located downstairs, with forest views. For a movie night, try out the exceptional home theater with surround sound. We have a Blu-Ray player and streaming available. Your biggest challenge will be to stay awake while lounging on what guests call “the most comfortable couch ever.” Outside, a spacious deck provides plenty of room for dining alfresco at the patio table and stargazing through the pine-tree canopy from the comfort of the large in-set hot tub. THINGS TO KNOW This property is not equipped with air conditioning. Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The property was plenty spacious for our group, beds were comfy enough, and all required amenities were present. Most finishes are still dated and in mid to poor condition. We were disappointed in the condition of the furniture and beds however. The beds are HORRIBLE! Felt like sleeping on 20 year old spring mattresses. The kitchen appliances were all a bit beat up, and the dishwasher pulled out of the space every time you opened the door. We enjoyed the hot tub, but wished the cushions had been replaced as it was uncomfortable to lay back on the headrests with sharp plastic pieces uncovered. The best part of this rental is the downstairs “theater” room. Hopefully the house gets updated soon! It needs a lot of work. ##### Erin R. This was a great location for an adult family trip to hit the Tahoe slopes. Really enjoyed the large layout of the house; the hot tub and back deck were used quite a bit. With that said, i was disappointed with the following: - Fireplace was malfunctioning/broken; flipped the fireplace switch and nothing happened - Toaster was malfunctioning/broken with one of the heating wires on one end sticking through the through the grate where bread goes; this is a fire hazard - There was only one roll of paper towels and one trash bag for use; under the sink, there was about 10 sheets of C-fold paper towels and that was it. There was no other trash bags in the residence - Bedroom pillows in the second and third bedroom (bunk beds) could use some new pillows as they are extremely flat. ##### Josh B. The fireplace wasn’t working the first night or the heat in the basement. Our friends in the basement said it was so cold they had to come sleep on the couch upstairs. Management did have someone out once we spoke to them in the morning, which we appreciated. The kitchen cooking unit barely works and we had to just stop mid meal and go grab food.
