Winter adventure at Heavenly Mountain Resort is close by as well as hiking and biking trails for summertime fun. Things to Know Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m to 9 a.m. hours. In addition no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Security camera details: Surveillance cameras are in use in the common areas only. Dock details: Dock/pier is for sightseeing and to see the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. No boat docking or boat tying of any kind is permitted. No fishing or diving off the dock is permitted. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) A short 3-4 minute walk to the beach, which we enjoyed. We went in the late afternoon and there wasn’t many people there. They provided beach chairs which were great. A little hard to navigate around the complex and got lost once or twice. They do have maps every so often but still got turned around which is my fault. Across the street is Whole Foods which was nice to have also. In the middle of everything. Could walk to some food places. On first arrival the place was very nice and clean. After being there a few days just can tell things need to be updated. Wallpaper is peeling in a bunch of places. The headboards on the beds were super dusty. And upstairs smelled very musty and was hot. We used the fans provided and it helped with the smell and it took a while to cool down. didn’t realize this place doesn’t have air conditioning which is my fault it was in the description. The winding stairs to go to the loft were a little wobbly which made it scary so we avoided that area. I didn’t address this with the host but they have spiders. I killed between 2-4 a day everyday for 3 days we were there. They like the bathrooms mainly. Some baby spiders and some full grown. Kind of bugged me but I wasn’t letting it get to me since we were gone the majority of the day. If I would have stayed in the condo all day then maybe I would have addressed it. Other than that it was very nice and would definitely stay again when in Lake Tahoe. Felt safe and it was super quiet ##### Stephanie S. Location of the condo is ideal- walking distance to Heavenly Shuttle, the 50 bus, and a number of stores (CVS, Whole Food, Safeway). Condo was clean, ground well kept and cleared despite heavy snow before we got there. Inside the main room was bright and felt much larger than the actual size thanks to the high ceiling and skylight. Toilet paper, towels, and bed linens are provided. Basic dish cleaning supplies but if you will be there more than a few days you will need to buy more. Kitchen is sparingly set up with pots/pans/utensils, but does have a blender, coffee pot, electric kettle and toaster. Washer/dryer is in the main lodge but very reasonably priced and they will give you detergent if you need. Note that the loft has the third bed, and requires the person to navigate the spiral stairs to get to it. Overall a really delightful place to stay close to both water and mountains, quiet and just right for our little family! Would definitely recommend for convenience and location! ##### Darcy A. The carpet in the living room needs to be replaced or cleaned, very dirty (as mentioned in other reviews) Couch has one section that is broken through the frame, stove burners lopsided and a little hard to cook on, only four place settings of dishware (we are family of 6). Now for the good stuff! Management very responsive! Clean towels and an extra fan (very hot week) were delivered right away upon contact. Additionally they replaced a screen on a window in living room so that we could get more airflow to the loft area. House worked well for our family in terms of size (2 adults, 4 teens). The location is EXCELLENT, close to restaurants and shopping. The access to the beach and pool were also fantastic. Really nice property/resort for a family vacation. Our 4 year old was very let down. We went to celebrate her birthday there. The appliances are super old. There was an awful sewage smell downstairs. The shower would not drain all the way. The appliances were very old, especially the stove. The house looks like a incomplete remodel. The couches were very uncomfortable, tv was very limited, the light outside did not work, the shower put more water in the tub than in the sprayer and worst of all the toilets kept breaking! Final note for families: the sleeping quarters are on the ground level and the top level which is not always suitable with kids. ##### Kathryn M. The floors downstairs were gross. Bathrooms are old, dirty, and not well maintained. Says it sleeps 6, only enough glassware for 2! Limited supplies in kitchen. Won’t stay again. ##### Jennifer G. Finding where the unit was at night was a little difficult since there are not signs showing which way to go to find the unit. I also did not realize both bathrooms were on the ground level right next to each other which was slightly inconvenient. Also there there were no parking passes in the unit as described, luckily we did not get ticketed and someone dropped them off later the next day -I tried to call the number for management but it was a bad number and wouldn’t connect. I slept in the loft area and the bed was very hard, and only had one thin quilt on it (which was very cold the first night). The downstairs beds were much more comfortable with a topper and added comforter. ##### Trisha P. I'm not sure if this was in the description or not, but it's a definite drawback. Also the dishwasher was broken and had obviously been broken for some time. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Great location. Some shortcomings were there wasn't any information about the resort or area in the condo including the pool code. When I called VACASA they had the incorrect pool code. We were finally was able to get it from another source. It would have been nice to have had dishes for more than 4 people. There were only 2 wine glasses and 4 plates bring your own or paper goods. There were inadequate linens for the location . This is Tahoe and even if it is summer it does get chilly at night. There was a sheet and a very light blanket on the bed upstatirs. We were cold. We had an issue with the dishwasher and coffee pot, but I will say when I called VACASA they were very nice and responsive. Maintance came right out to work on the dishwasher. I don't know if it was fixed because we just washed dishes by hand after that. It does have 2 bathrooms, but no bathroom on the main floor both are downstairs. All in all it was pleasant stay and if know before you go to bring extra dishes and linens you will be golden. It was very well priced. ##### Suesan L.
