We are expecting a great winter season, book your ski trip now. Mid Week discounts- This is an original Tahoe chalet, a step back in time with all the modern amenities your expect in a vacation cabin. This charming knotty pine cabin features an open great room with a wood burning stove, new flat screen television, a very roomy, super comfortable couch and a new gas heater. This is a great spot to relax after a long day skiing or playing at the beach, depending on the season. WIFI upgraded to 100mbps internet, TV is streaming, You Tube TV Located in a very quiet neighborhood but with easy access that all of South Lake Tahoe has to offer: Heavenly Ski Resort, beaches, boating, shopping, dining, gaming and Tahoe nightlife. If you are bringing your pet family the Bijou Dog Park is an easy drive, a great place to play. Or check out Bijou park: playground, bike course, disc golf and more. The front of the house starts with a roomy front deck, there is a small sitting porch off the side of the house also. You enter into the great room with original pine paneling throughout. There is an efficient kitchen, full bath, bedroom and laundry room. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bedroom with a headboard from the original Harvey's Casino. There is also a day bed if you have kids with you. The upstairs loft bedroom includes a queen bed, double bed and a twin. Modern amenities include: WIFI New Flat screen TV New Gas Wall Heat 6/2022 Bathroom new tile and flooring, new flooring in the kitchen 12/23 New flooring downstairs, laminate This home does not have air conditioning. Occupancy rules are in place at all times. Maximum vehicles: 2 no street parking allowed Quiet Hours Must Be Observed between 10:00pm-8:00am Note for all reservations: While staying here, please make sure to follow local ordinances (noise/maximum occupancy and maximum vehicles on site)We also require a signed rental agreement for every reservation and the person signing must be 25 years of age, must be staying at the property and have a copy of the signed rental agreement with them during their stay. When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared. Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads. 4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties. Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. For the most part my family and I didn’t really notice anything up until being in there for a few hours. When we took over shoes and just had our stocks on. We noticed that there was a lot of what I’m assuming is pet hair all over the floor and our socks got like super dirty. And when we were laying on the couch, and on the bed, those of us who were wearing black, we noticed that there was still hair all over us, even the “clean sheets” on the beds. Inside the bathroom. There was leftover shampoo, bottles, or whatever from the previous people that were there. I’m assuming.. and on the listing, they do mention that there will be some spiders, but when I tell you that there was spiders EVERYWHERE. Crawling on us while we sleep literally all over the place. And as I said, they did mention that there would be some because it’s Tahoe. And what not. But I personally think that they should mention that there will be a lot of spiders in the house, especially if someone is allergic to spiders, like my mother, who, after a while was afraid. The house was a good size for our family. Loved it was pet friendly and had no pet odors. However we felt that it would benefit from a “Deep” cleaning. There were cobwebs in the ceilings and in the loft area. The kitchen potholders were not clean and I had to wash them. We did love the bbq. Would recommend going through all of the pots and pans and keeping the nice ones with lids. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. The property itself was pretty much as listed, although could use some minor updates. Neighborhood felt safe, could easily walk around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The cabin itself was quaint and for the price point per night it was one of the more reasonable cabins in the same area. Cons: Definitely can feel the age of the decor, feel like the bones of the cabin were good and with just a bit of an interior upgrade (electronics, furniture) it would really be a gem! Even though the cabin itself was clean it felt a bit chaotic inside, and it was hard to feel comfortable. It offered great value in comparison to similar listings. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The house was larger than expected, with plenty of room. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck with morning coffee. My family sold the cabin that was built in 1946 and so this was my first year coming to Tahoe in the summer, renting a cabin. I searched for a cozy cabin with the same knotty pine and history as my old cabin and this place didn't disappoint! It is so pretty from the outside and so perfect for a family on the inside. My 3 kids slept comfortably up top with PLENTY of room for all their stuff (there are even 3 dressers up there!) And my husband and I slept downstairs. It was just the best experience. We loved it so much and are so very grateful that the owners rent this special place for others to enjoy. We will be back for sure! ##### Janelle L. We had a wonderful time at this cabin — it was rustic yet equipped with everything we needed. If someone is wanting seclusion in the woods, this might not be the best option (it’s in a neighborhood with other houses/cabins nearby), but it’s a great location for all that South Lake Tahoe offers. And it’s pet friendly! My family is definitely going to come back again. We loved it. ##### Theresa W. The inside was a lot bigger than we expected. There's a mix of antique and updated features. There was everything in the kitchen you would need if you were to cook meals. We had a bbq on the patio and there was propane as well as utensils to use. It's an older style cabin, not super fancy or modern, but that was it's charm. We loved the wood burning fireplace in the living room, our kids made s'mores and slept downstairs on the huge wrap around couch to enjoy the fire. We had a great experience and hope to go back next year. We would definitely stay at this cabin again. ##### Andrew M. There are some good things and bad with this cabin. The booking process was easy and the property manager was good with communication and we were granted a 2- hour early check in, so that was appreciated. The cabin is in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The cabin is extremely dated. The floors are in dire need of replacing, please bring house slippers. There were a few live termites inside the house. The couch and carpeting in the bedroom are stained and look pretty bad. The main bedroom mattress is old and very uncomfortable. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep, then this place might be okay, but it would be much cheaper to stay in a lodge or hotel. We will not be back. Sorry. ##### brad b. However, the house cleaners need more supervision. We found two rib bones(from a previous tenet) behind the couch and under one of the beds in the lofts. In addition there was an infestation of ants throughout the cabin. We had to wash the dishes before using them after finding ants in the cabinets.
