BOOK NOW! Exceptional Historic "The Wakefield" in town. Remarkable and stunning renovated historic home Circa 1880, notably called "The Wakefield" \~ This spacious home includes 8 bedrooms, 1st floor master suite that is handicap friendly, with a magnificent tiled walk/roll in shower. The kitchen is very spacious and open to dining and living area. Plenty of seating inside and out on the deck off the kitchen. Half bath off the kitchen as well as a laundry area. Second floor has 5 evenly placed bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, as well as another laundry area. Third floor has a great common area perfect for kids to play games and watch TV, including 2 convertible chairs that lay out as a twin bed, along with 2 bedrooms on either side. All beds are memory foam for more comfort. The Carriage House where the game room is located has a new sectional sofa that pulls out for sleeping as well as a few aero beds and a 1/2 bath. This house has central air/heat on 3 zones, WIFI, a rec room with central AC has been created in the original Carriage House, which includes a Pool table, Foosball table, 70" flat screen TV, sectional sofa, a small pub table/chairs, 1/2 bath, recessed lighting and fun decor. Our Tv's are Roku and WI-FI is with Cox Communications. In the garage you will find an extra fridge if needed, beach items and lawn chairs and games. This is the perfect size house for family get togethers and reunions. The driveway allows for ample parking, and the 3/4 portion of the property is fenced to allow for privacy. Attached to the carriage house is spacious enclosed outdoor hot water shower. There is a deck off the kitchen where we have extra seating and a grill. The kitchen and dining are all open to each other with plenty of seating. All this is open to the large living area with a flat screen TV on the wall. Enjoy your morning coffee on the slightly slanted front porch, which will pleasantly justify your experience sitting on a historic Circa 1880 front porch. We provide handicap ramps for those in need. If bringing a pet, there is a $100 pet fee. We provide, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, games to play, linens and bath towels, 2 sets of washers dryers, brochures and pamphlets of things to do in the area. There is a high chair, a pack-n-play and a foldable table if needed. Walking distance is a bike rental shop, called Stedman's Bikes. The bike path is also just about 200 yrds from the house. Many local beaches including, Narragansett Town beach (great for surfing), Scarborough State beach, Roger Wheeler State beach and East Matunuck State beach; Golfer's paradise with 32 golf courses within 20 miles of Wakefield. South County Bike and Walking trails extend 8 miles and passes within 200 yards of the house. South Kingstown Dog Park, Entertainment Cinemas, Theatre by-the-Sea, Old Mountain Lanes Bowling, Old Mountain Field where the BEST firework display is, plus basketball courts, baseball field, skate park, tennis courts are located, South County Bike Trail extends 8 miles, Main Street in Wakefield, has a variety of shops of all kinds, and restaurants within walking distance. The house was a huge hit! Everything was as described online. More than enough of the kitchen and bathroom essentials. The young kids in our group enjoyed the yard and the carriage house. we brought plenty of things for all ages to do as well as what was at the house and in the garage. Our extended family of 15 people from ages of 18 to 90 and two small dogs had a fabulous time. The location was fantastic. It is within a couple blocks of downtown Wakefield with its cute shops, art studios, WWII museum and Brinkley's ice cream and it is just a half-hour to Newport for fun day excursions, and within 10 minutes to some wonderful RI Beaches. The house provides an ample supply of beach towels and chairs too. The house was extremely clean, and the AC worked wonderfully with multiple zones. The kitchen had everything we needed to do a few family meals, and the barbeque grill worked great. The spaces in the house and the carriage house gave everyone wonderful places to gather and to have alone time space when needed. Robin, the house manager, was extremely responsive during our stay and got back to us regarding any questions we had instantly. One of the past reviews on here recommended to bring your own pillows if you are particular, and many of us did do that. The first-floor bathroom was handicap accessible with a roll-in shower and safety bars which worked very well for our family members in their 80s/90s. Overall, it was fantastic place to stay and a great location for a family vacation. ##### Carol S. Everyone was impressed and wanted to stay another week! Plentiful towels, spices, bedrooms, bathrooms. We chose it for the wheelchair accessibility and it worked out well for my husband who is non ambulatory and uses an electric scooter for mobility. Bed was perfect height for transferring, roll in shower had a bit of a curb but we used a shower chair that rolled over it ok. Bathroom sink is high, but workable. It's so rare to find wheelchair accessible homes. It was great. They had lots of ramps for entry that worked great for his Amigo scooter. ##### Connie K. It was wonderful to have a place for our whole family to stay. The rooms were very nice. The bathrooms were clean. We had 20 people stay for our wedding and it was awesome. The house is super spacious for getting ready in the morning. We even did our first look on the front porch. The house had a great amount of space for our entire family and the carriage house was perfect for a quiet spot. The kitchen is fully stocked with all types of kitchen appliances and the double washer and dryers came in handy while traveling with children. Having the town within walking distance was wonderful. We had 16 adults and 5 toddlers fly in from 5 different states for a family reunion and the house was exactly as explained online. The property manager was exceptional at responding to questions. All the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels and beach towels and chairs for all. We catered in most of our food from a local vendor which was fantastic. ##### Hailey K. Easy walk to dinner, ice cream, shopping, and entertainment. The house is spacious and has laundry on both the first and second floors. Ample parking even though we only had 5 cars, there was enough room for at least 3 more. The beaches are close but so is Newport, Providence, and Mystic. More than enough room for our young adults to hang out and play pool or foosball in the carriage house while the “old” folks hang out playing cards and board games in the main house.
