"Very clean cottage with all the amenities you would need. We had a great supper at the rusty anchor, which is only a short drive away. Neighbours and dog barking across the street were loud at times when outside using the hot tub, but relaxing in the hot tub was still amazing. "A rustic hotel that is in a perfect location for visiting the area. We booked here because of the location. The check it was good and the people were friendly. They got us in quick, and gave us the information we needed about the area. For us the room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable, nothing sticking out or hard. The showers worked with no issues and gave us plenty of hot water. The restaurant was nice, the staff were very pleasant and the food was good. The only complaint I would have is there is no fridge or microwave in the room. We would definitely stay here again."

"Wonderful location for visiting Cape Breton and especially the Cabot Trail! Uli was so kind to have a fire already going in the fireplace and we immediately felt welcomed and at home at Maggie's place. The peace and quiet and fall colors were beyond our expectations for this much needed get away for my husband and myself. We were very Blessed to have attended the first night of the Celtic Colours Festival in Port Hawkesberry.We had everything we needed at our fingertips and Uli is very responsive to any needs that we had or questions about the area. "
