On the last night we had a meal at McKees, just down the road where we were served by super friendly Madison and had a delicious pizza & burger. Great atmosphere there. All new and attractive fixtures. Contacted the owner several times and got immediate response. We had tickets to a show in burlington, and chose to stay off the beaten path. It was a lovely drive out across the sand bar every day. The grand isle is beautiful and peaceful. Be sure to check out the farmers market. The guest house was perfect for our needs. It's nice new construction, with a good amount of space for two. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved having our coffee on the little back porch, overlooking the farm country. It was quiet, except for a bit of noise from cars on the road. But the critters and bugs at night were a beautiful lullaby. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. My only complaint is the shower water pressure is low.
