The shower handle can be a bit tricky—turning it to the maximum actually makes the water colder. While we don't supply firewood for the fire pit, there are numerous places to buy it on the side of the road on the honor system (bring cash) or at local gas stations/carry-outs. Please prepare for mosquitos in summer time. Environment Notice: Our home is nestled in nature, and occasionally, 'nature' finds its way inside. We make efforts to control pests with professional services, however, we cannot totally exterminate the bugs/rodents. We try our best to get rid of them and appreciate guests’ understanding. As we coexist with the environment, we kindly request keeping doors closed to minimize encounters. Our drive way is flat. We provide snow removal for snowfall over 3 inches. Our cabin uses well water, typical for the Hocking Hills area. It may have a natural odor since it's not treated with chlorine like city water. Bottled water can be purchased at a gas station or grocery, and we provide a filtered pitcher for your convenience. Since our cabin is nestled beside a scenic creek and Hocking Hills weather can be unpredictable, occasional flooding may occur following heavy rain or severe weather. The water usually recedes within a few hours, allowing things to return to normal quickly. It was bitterly cold outside so we wondered if it would be hot enough but 102 was great! I'm glad she warned us about the cloudiness of the water.We were also glad to see that the firepit was covered. I enjoyed that there were tons of towels and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. They had all of the kitchen utensils we could ever need and enjoyed that things were well kept. ##### Lisa W.
