Hôtel magnifique
Notre séjour au sugar beach restera inoubliable, le lieu est magnifique entre les deux pitons, les maisons ou chambres sont très intimistes. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Tout est parfait on rêve juste d’y retourner.

situation exceptionnelle pour cet hôtel
hôtel destiné aux séjours de rêve... si on est assez fortuné. Tout est beau, les villas, le site, les abords, la plage, la nourriture mais tout se compte en US dollars et coûte très cher en particulier la restauration. La situation géographique de cet hôtel, entre deux pitons compte beaucoup dans son charme en plus du côté colonial dû au fait qu'il s'agit d'une ancienne habitation.

très beau séjour ; personnel agréable ;hôtel agréable pour les couples qui veulent se détendre mais SPA cher pour la qualité des massages et soins proposés nous nous sommes mariés pendant notre séjour;la cérémonie s'est bien déroulée;mais du point de vue des papiers pour légaliser le mariage ,cela n'a pas été traité correctement. En effet, si le mariage était bien légalisé à Sainte Lucie ,il ne l'a pas été en France;l'hôtel et l'ambassade de France à Ste Lucie ayant oublié de publier les bans auprès de l'ambassade à Nantes. Résultats , nous avons eu des frais supplémentaires ,en plus des frais supplémentaires déjà demandés par l'ambassade pour pouvoir légaliser le mariage en France , que l'on n'aurait pas dû à acquitter si cela avait été fait correctement dès le début . après 3 mois ,finalement nous sommes mariés et heureux de ce dénouement .

Property is very nice with great views and service. However, prices in restaurants are unjustifiably high and price gouging is everywhere. Prepare to pay Michelin star prices for average beach food. Plus, the need to move around in a shuttle is maddening, as trip from a room to the beach feels like a roller coaster. Enjoyed the views and service but would not return. Much better options available for half the price.

The property was very beautiful and in a great location. The room was very nicely kept and clean and most of the staff friendly. I felt though that the food provided by the hotel restaurants except one (the SaltWood) was overpriced for the quality and the options they offered. Breakfast offered in the morning was high quality. Overall it was a nice experience but unfortunately I would not return to that hotel for a future vacation.

My husband and I traveled to St. Lucia for a gateway weekend and stayed at Sugar Beach Viceroy Resort. I don’t even know where to start the complements. The airport transfer, the Butler, the room, the beach, the restaurants, everything was perfect. We had only good times and great memories.

Beautiful property with exceptional staff and service. The food was also very very good for a Caribbean resort. I'd highly recommend. My only experiences for improvement : 1) We booked a luxury cottage, which on the website had a beautiful view of the bay. Ours had no view due to obstructing jungle. We asked if we could switch rooms and were promised a response within a day. We never heard back. No issues with not having another room, but not getting back to us was disappointing. 2) Expedia vip was supposed to give us a room upgrade. This wasn't offered and was never explained as to why it wasn't offered. Again, not an issue if not available, but the fact this was never explained was disappointing.

Lovely setting. We were in a villa at a height with a view of the beach and the lagoon below. They have an excellent shuttle service with friendly drivers who take you around the property. It's very hilly and it rained a lot so we needed it. They also have a Butler service which had variable quality. I didn't care for the all white interiors of the villas. The beach is nice and the views are spectacular all over the property. The restaurants were ok - expected more for the price. The spa in the forest was an experience.

Read the reviews/ratings and expected so much more. I travel a lot and have stayed in 5-star resorts all over the world including in the Caribbean. This was one of the most expensive ones I’ve stayed in by far. To start, once the room was booked, most places send a welcome greeting & ask about transportation from the airport..I received nothing. When we did arrive, they took us right to the room. With this being a VIP access hotel, I’m used to the hotel offering an upgrade or explanation of the perks. Nothing. I asked the butler if I would get an upgrade and she said she would get back to me. She never did. I went to the front desk twice and they said they would get back to me. No one did. The perk is only given if there is availability but the fact that no one got back to me says a lot. The room was nice but no wow factor. The breakfast was not that good. And probably the biggest takeaway of my time here is everything is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. From the cab ride, to room service, to lunch, spa, dinner, drinks…it makes no sense why everything is so high. The saving grace to this place is the scenery is beautiful, the staff is nice, shuttle service is a great perk, and the food is good. But the hype isn’t valid. I’ve wanted to go to St Lucia for yrs. I heard good things about it, but not sure I would come back. Well if I did I would try a different resort. Been to the islands a lot and for the price & experience at Viceroy Sugar Beach, it gets a 4/5 from me.

Aside from the obvious (amazing view, beautiful property, gorgeous rooms) the customer service provided by the staff at Sugar Beach is the most wonderful I have experienced in all of my travels. They made everything seamless from the day of our arrival, to the last second. The attention to detail is unmatched - when we mentioned we were going to hike Petit Piton, the staff filled our room with bottles of water to ensure we were hydrating the night prior and the day of our hike. It's the little things like that, that make a big difference. We were really impressed by the way the staff communicate with each other to make sure our time spent here was personalized and as relaxing as possible. It was a very memorable getaway, and I've already raved about Sugar beach to everyone I know. As for some recommendations: We really enjoyed the sunset cruise, snorkeling, a walk around the rainforest spa, and the dinner at The Cane Bar (the ginger creme brûlée is YUM).

Everything is perfect except for the food pricing. Quality is great, but doesn’t just the extremely high prices.

This property is beautiful and the best we have been to in the Carribean region. Staff was amazing and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The food at the restaurants on the property was good but in our opinion did not meet expectations of the price being charged. That being said, we would definitely return to this property and of course St Lucia.
