Traveling in the Caribbean a lot and knowing about the Gansevoort brand, my expectations were very high going into my stay with the property. I could have never have expected for the hotel to so far exceed these expectations. From the moment of arrival to the time of departure, it felt more like a well-orchestrated VIP experience than a hotel stay. The attention to detail was evident in every element - from the design and decor, to the cuisine and service.
The hotel itself is an aesthetic dream. From the jaw-dropping views from the pool to the elegant tranquility of the rooms, everything feels luxury and high-end. Each room has a full kitchen and living area - something I really enjoyed for times when I wanted to unwind in private. The beds / bedding are some of the most comfortable I have experienced and the bathrooms were felt like a private spa experience - fully stocked with L'Occitane products. The wi-fi is incredible - making it easy to stream music and movies in the room.
The food. Hands down some of the best that I have had in the Caribbean. They offer two on-site restaurants, as well as a full room service menu. The variety, quality and overall presentation impressed me every single time. Menus truly offer something for every taste - sushi, Asian, Mexican, Italian, seafood, health conscious vegetarian, steakhouse, Dominican - you name it. I tried a wide range of options and everything was well done. Also, the breakfast protein smoothie was healthy and delicious.
