Located on the third floor of newly build gated condominium, this cozy two bedroom unit overlooks a gorgeous tropical garden from the entrance balcony and full kitchen window. Staying in the ocean view bedroom, you'll be greeted in the morning by the sound of the fountain and hummingbirds collecting nectar from clematis vines which covers the bedroom's balcony and the picturesque tree. Clematis covered and young palm trees separate the bedroom balconies from the courtyard with the pool and make you feel living in the private villa. The full kitchen equipped with cooking utensils, microwave, Breville coffee maker, the living space with Bravia LCD TV, international cable programming, Wi-Fi broadband Internet, Bose iPhone Dock Radio, the vintage teak furniture imported from India, will make your feel luxury. The condominium is located 10 miles from the Puerto Plata International airport, just steps away from the gorgeous Playa Alicea beach, the Parque Mirador and 5 minutes walk to center of Sosua with it's shopping, restaurants, night life and casino. The mercado is only about 5 minutes away and they have everything you need if you want to make your own meals in the condo. The condo was very comfortable with everything you would need for your stay (dishes, towels, wi-fi) and the guards were very nice with big smiles all the time. Misha, the owner, was very helpful and responded to all our questions very quickly. It was a little noisy a couple of nights but overall we loved our stay. We just finished 4 wonderful weeks at Hispaniola Sol and it was absolutely perfect. We love the Sosua area, but with such a bad experience with our condo rental last year there, we were very hesitate about returning. Well we sure hit the jackpot this time. This luxury condo has everything anyone would need. It is very beautiful, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, feeling just like home. There is every amenity that you would ever need, all in perfect condition and the condo was absolutely spotless. The beds were very clean and comfortable with nice new linens and we had plenty of beautiful thick fresh towels. We had most of our meals at home and the kitchen had absolutely everything you need for cooking. The housekeeping, security guards and gardener were all very delightful, friendly and very eager to please. If you needed anything at all they were happy to help. The owner also check in often to see if there was anything we needed. The condo has two beautiful balconies to enjoy your meals or afternoon cocktails while taking in the beautiful scenery of the gardens and the pool. Plenty of birds singing and a nice shaded breeze from the huge trees. The hummingbirds were a special treat feeding off the giant clematis vines climbing up all the trees. The pool is cleaned everyday and very refreshing for the hot afternoons. The location of the condo is perfect, a few steps from the beach, around the corner from restaurants, bars and shops, but yet tucked away for privacy and any noise at night. Again, perfect! We have been home only 2 days and miss it already, it felt like home away from home. Highly recommend this rental and we will definitely be returning. ##### john s. The best part of the condo however, is it's convenient location. Séjour de 3 nuits en juin 2017 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Kathy F., New York, NY 5 mars 2017 #### Enjoyable Stay My husband and I stayed in this small but lovely two bedroom condo for eight nights. The condo and furniture were just as they appeared in the photos. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable and the combination safe deposit box provided was invaluable. As you can't drink the tap water in the DR, having a purified water dispenser in the condo was another plus. Hispaniola Sol is on a quiet street and the security guards there are particularly friendly and helpful. During our stay, we did have a maintenance issue in the condo and texted Misha, the owner. He responded promptly and addressed the problem. When my husband and I return to Sosua we would not hesitate to stay here again. All in all, a good value. ##### Kathy F. The apartment is clean, nicely decorated and has a great location in the centre of Sosua so you do not need a car to get around. We will be back! ##### Claudia S. My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I stayed 3 nights in the condo. Everything was just as advertised and the photos on the website were exactly as the rental indicated. We really enjoyed the balcony and having our meals that we cooked in the kitchen out on it. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very clean and modern. The security guards are very friendly and helpful. There is a tenant in the unit directly below that will complain if there is noise including "loud" music, too much partying or door slamming. Respect the house rules and you'll be fine. The deal breaker for me is the landlord, who did furnish them upon request, does not typically supply washcloths as do all hotel and luxury rental accomodations do in generous supply and is not clear about that at the time of rental. I don't like unpleasant surprises on vacation. In an already humid and warm climate there is no a/c in the living room so it feels like a sauna most of the time. There is also no access to the washer & dryer in the unit as they are exclusive use by the housekeeping personnel. I paid for luxury and received a deluxe level accomodation. I would only recommend this rental if the items contained in this review are not important to you. I think the price point is good only if you know whats included or more importantly, what's excluded from the price. I would only stay again if changes were made to the identified concerns. For these reasons a 2-star review is justified based on my experience. ##### Kirby G. I was within minutes of my destination, the beach and the dive shop. Very close to the airport. It is clean, quiet and very secure.It is a 5-10 minute walk to anything that you desire...beaches, restaurants and shopping. The guards are very friendly and efficient. The owner was in constant contact and his contact in Sosua lives right across the street if you have any questions or concerns.
