Centrally located in the heart of the historic center, the El Royale Suite Gold is just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street of Corso Italia, 3 minutes from the famous alley of Via San Cesareo and a few steps from the seaside village of Marina Grande. El Royale Suite Gold is located on the second floor of a well-kept and protected residential building with a lift. Equipped with all the necessary comforts for a pleasant holiday, the apartment is bright and airy. With a size of about 85 square meters, the apartment consists of two double bedrooms, a large living room, separate kitchen, bathroom and furnished terrace overlooking the water. The two double bedrooms offer a comfortable double bed, flat screen TV and ample space for hanging and storing clothes and other objects. One of the bedrooms opens onto a small terrace overlooking the surrounding streets and the surrounding hill. There is a small laundry room with washing machine located on this terrace. The living area is spacious and offers simple furnishings with a large lounge and seating areas for everyone to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Includes a flat-screen TV and a quality double sofa bed with a 5-inch memory foam mattress to ensure comfortable sleep. A series of French doors open directly onto the large panoramic terrace where you can sit and reflect on the fascinating elegance of this ancient city. A corridor from the living room leads into a separate and spacious eat-in kitchen furnished with a wooden table and chairs and a set of kitchen equipment to prepare a simple meal or snack. Includes a 5-burner gas hob, open barbecue grill, deep fryer, oven, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and small appliances. From the kitchen you have direct access to the terrace. The strong point of the apartment is its private terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Naples and the splendid urban landscape and the cobbled streets of the historic center. It is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or an aperitif in the early evening while waiting for the spectacular sunset over the Mediterranean. The bathroom is furnished with ceramic tiles from the Amalfi Coast dating back to the 7th century and has a bathtub with shower, sink, bidet and toilet. There is also a separate shower located in the utility room adjacent to the kitchen. In addition, the apartment has reverse cycle air conditioning in each room and free WiFi. The apartment is quiet, comfortable and extremely central. Whether it's excellent coffee, shopping, culture, history and art or returning to nature and breathtaking beaches, they are all moments at El Royale Suite Gold. Surrounding Area Just a few minutes from the renowned hotel and reception structure of the Hotel Bellevue Syrene, the El Royale Suites Gold hotel is in a privileged position for a short or long stay in Sorrento. The pedestrian shopping street of Corso Italia is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Here you will find a wide selection of fashion shops, supermarkets, delicatessens, restaurants, bars and ice cream parlors. The famous alley of Via San Cesareo is located two streets from the apartment, while the central square of Piazza Tasso is only an 8-minute walk away. If you want to spend the day on the beach, look no further than the wonderful seaside village of Marina Grande, a primary attraction famous for its waterfront restaurants, piers, goiter (typical Sorrento wooden boats), colorful cabins, bars, bars and restaurants . This is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day on the beach or take a bath in one of the famous bathing establishments with a private bar, solarium and access to the pier. The panoramas of Marina Grande are fabulous, with the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and the Sorrento coast just before you. Again, the Marina is a few steps away from the apartment. To reach the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, you can take a train from the main station of Sorrento, less than 15 minutes on foot, or organize an authorized guided tour through the Gocce Concierge Desk. The island of Capri is a short boat trip, while Positano, Ravello and the Amalfi Coast are all excellent day trips from Sorrento. I'm Not sure why. It was quite long and detailed, but very honest. I myself want to be able to make decisions based on accurate descriptions and honest reviews. So . . . . . . . . . . Jasvir was pleasant, met us at a parking area (parking is not included in this rental) and walked us to the apartmt. The building looked rundown and kind of like student housing. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as did the apartment. The buildings entry door was was seldom closed and locked as the security measures would encourage and warrant. The listing clearly stated no smoking and we were given a key to the entry door and told to keep it closed. The apartment was dingy, had a very stale oder of cigarette smoke and was not freshly cleaned. The small balcony (its not a large panoramic terrace) does not overlook the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Naples. It's blocked by about 500 - 800ft of trees and buildings depending on which way you're looking. You can't see the sunset. It does, however, have a huge ash tray on the wall filled with cigarette butts, if you like that kind of thing. We didn't. None of us smoke and would not have rented a place which allowed it. There was no usable coffee pot. Jasvir brought one and left it hanging on our door for us the last night of our stay. It was very thoughtful of him. The linens and towels smelled clean, but the apartment did not and had not been freshly cleaned. There were dust balls under the beds and it didnt seem that the recent covid situation even came into play as far as cleaning this place and leaving it fresh and disinfected as one would expect. Finally, when making the reservation I thought I paid VRBO directly in two payments which, at this point in time, could not be refunded. Jasvir said that VRBO did not send these payments to Gocce Villas and asked us for cash. I refused. I then checked my credit card statement and saw that we had not been charged. That was a little weird. I should have tried harder to contact VRBO, but we were exhausted and hungry after a full day of travel, so I didn't have the energy to look for alternate accommodations. He finally agreed to take my credit card. We were close to everything in town and Marina Grande. The location was ok, but no beautiful view. That view was the thing that we wanted the most when renting this place. ItVery disappointin ##### Regina S. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and stayed here in Sorento. Our host, who works for the owner, Jasvir, was fantastic in every way. Super kind, helpful and available! We found the actual space a bit sterile, i.e. no sugar packets for morning coffee, or welcoming bottle of water, actually, nothing. This may be the way all places are in Sorento but in comparison to our stay in Rome, Florence and Positano, from where I am writing now, it was a sharp contrast. All that said, the owner did provide us with a place to park our car in the building and at a discount and the apartment was comfortable and s short walk to everything; and Jasvir is a gem!
