Recently renovated, Blue Mountain Retreat is relaxing fall, winter, spring or summer. Located in the heart of Laurel Highlands about a mile from Kooser State Park nestled between Hidden Valley, Seven Springs and Laurel Mountain ski resorts, this family and pet friendly cabin in the woods has everything you need to enjoy an outdoor getaway. Travelers have enjoyed this cozy home in the mountains as a solo rejuvenating escape for 1, a romantic getaway for 2, a family vacation, or a get together with friends/extended family.
Nearby attractions include hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, golfing, star gazing, bird watching, restaurants, spas and more. Enjoy the many trails and ponds nearby at Kooser (2 minute drive), Laurel Hill (7 minute drive) or Forbes (12 minute drive) State Parks. Bike the GAP trail at Rockwood just 15 minutes away. Check out the local resorts for food, golf, spas, mountain biking, special events, skiing and more at Hidden Valley (5 minute drive), Seven Springs (17 minute drive), or Laurel Mountain (30 minute drive). Peruse the local towns of Somerset (15 minute drive), Ligonier (30 minute drive) or Ohiopyle (34 minute drive) for restaurants, shopping, white water rafting and trails. Local attractions also include Idlewild, Caddyshack, Living Treasures Animal Park, Laurel Caverns, Jennerstown Speedway, Fort Ligonier and more! Even though you will feel like you are in the middle of the woods in a peaceful setting, if you forget anything a gas station/convenience store is only a 2 minute drive away and a grocery store is only a 20 minute drive away.
Once you settle in, you will enjoy a backyard with a picnic table, gas grill, bonfire pit, and hot tub or the spacious kitchen and spa soaker tub in the first floor bathroom. Excellent WiFi service will help you stay connected to friends, family, and work (Gasp! Only if necessary...you should be relaxing!) or allow you to finally binge watch that series you always wanted to see. A variety of games, foosball, and darts will help you stay entertained and unplug from screens too!
3 bedrooms and 2 baths accommodates a maximum of 8 people and 2 well behaved, house trained dogs. There is an additional $30 per night pet fee when fur family joins you at the cabin. Please be sure to check the pet box when booking to pay during booking your reservation, or pay it before your arrival.
If you have additional people or pets in your party, please message to inquire about also renting Mountain Grove (with indoor treehouse kid gaming room also accommodating up to 8 people. See VRBO.com/3615517 ) adjacent to Blue Mountain Retreat. Multiple families have enjoyed renting both cabins for relaxing family reunions or birthday celebrations.
The location off of 31 makes it easily accessible year round, but far enough off the road to be peacefully tucked in the woods. A limit of 3 cars per cabin has to be maintained because there is no overflow parking available nearby (AWD or 4WD vehicles during the winter months of snow are required for ease of access). Visitors should be accounted for in your reservation.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Mountain Retreat! The house is in a great location, close to skiing. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub came in clutch after a full day of skiing, and the kids enjoyed the foosball table and other games in the house. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a wonderful time staying in the cabin for a ski weekend. The property is conveniently located 2 miles from Hidden Valley, 15 minutes from Seven Springs and 30 minutes from Laurel Mountain. Despite lots of snow, the roads and driveway were kept clear and accessible. The property has a beautiful backyard that backs up to trees, has a fire pit and a lovely hot tub perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Everything was spotlessly clean. The first floor has a great open concept kitchen and living area. Bedrooms were comfortable. Bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo, fresh soap and hairdryers. We had a perfect weekend. Communication with the owner was quick and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Loved this place! The kitchen has everything you need, and the outside area was very nice. Picnic table, grill, fire pit and hot tub. Every part of the cabin was very clean, including the hot tub. Beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back! Lisa was very responsive and gave a great list of restaurants and things to do in the area. Can't wait to enjoy more next time!

This cabin has wonderful modern touches and amenities but still felt like a private retreat. Was a great location for going to the parks during the day and then coming back in the evening for some fire therapy and soaking in the hot tub. Lisa was the best communicator and hostess! She addressed any questions and provided a plethora of local activities. The house was relaxing and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. This was a nice & relaxing stay in the Laurel Highlands, which is exactly what we were hoping for. The listing pictures were accurate and the place was very clean. The owner sent helpful information regarding restaurants, grocers and such that were close by. We don't ski, but I can see this place is perfect for skiers. It's set up to take the snow and gear and is super close to Hidden Valley, close to Seven Springs as well.The hot tub was great, if closer to the neighbor than preferred. Again, the picture was accurate. We enjoyed relaxing, some local dining and a wonderful visit to Polymath Park with a lovely lunch there. I would recommend this place to friends.

The description and location of the property was precisely as advertised. No surprises whatsoever and we enjoyed our stay in the home very much. What cannot be "seen" or "viewed" on the site is the degree to which Lisa, the host, communicated and assisted in every component our visit. When asked for recommendations for hikes, activities and restaurants in the area, she not only provide information, but also wise guidance based on her own experiences. She made the entire process from booking through check-out incredibly simple even helping change the reservation when VRBO systems weren't cooperating. Additionally, her response time to inquiries was nearly always immediate. If you are looking for a deciding factor in choosing one option over another in the Laurel Highlands, this property's host should make that decision easy!

#### Cabin near Seven Springs
Great pet friendly cabin near Seven Springs. Location is perfect for Falling Water, Seven Springs and other attractions. We enjoyed the hot tub, backyard picnic, fire-pit, and hot tub area. A wonderful getaway with a kitchen with everything you need to dine in and lots of restaurants close by. Air conditioning in bedrooms and fans in the living area.
