This is a beautiful new home on the Kenai River, just a few miles from downtown Soldotna and located on Funny River Road. Great neighborhood, private access to fishing, or a mile of public use fishing just down the road. A freezer is provided. Your host, Mark, is most always on-site and enjoys teaching those who may not be familiar with fishing our river how to catch a big one! Washer/dryer, full kitchen, outdoor grill; it was a wonderful place to spend some time. On top of that, this is a superb fishing location with everything you need at your disposal. His past experience working with tourists gave him an advantage for meeting our needs. He is extremely knowledgeable about fishing, hiking, and what to do if you see a bear, places to visit, and a host of other information. Mark asked us what our plans were. He was ready to give us ideas of places to go and things to do. This place is brand new and had everything we needed. We are from Louisiana. Opening the screened windows at night kept the place cool. We walked behind the house, where the Kenai River was, and the kids did some fishing. There are chairs around a fire pit down by the river. We used the new barbecue pit out our back door to grill some steak. Love that picnic table! I cannot say enough nice things about our host. We highly recommend him to anybody.
