It is located in the modern part of Valletta which is called sliema. The bus rides are a bit rough and take between 15 to 30 minutes. Breakfast is excellent and the service and personnel was very friendly and helpful. Arrived late but the instructions about out-of-hours access to the room were both accurate and easy to follow. The newly refurbished room was extremely clean and comfortable, although generally the sound-proofing was inadequate - no problem for me but potentially troublesome for sober guests or those sensitive to church bells, chirpy European visitors and even chirpier construction workers. Breakfast was pleasant but a smidgeon over-priced; meanwhile the location was handy as well as conveniently serviced by local Bolt and Uber drivers. All the staff were super friendly - which seems to be a genetic trait of most if not all Maltese people. They seemed reluctant to provide any vegan bread and took persuading to provide vegan milk. This aside, staff were extremely friendly from the outset, the room was very pleasant but sandwiched two single beds to form an awkward double the was pressed against the full length mirror, preventing its full use. We appreciated the bottles of free water restocked each time the room was cleaned. Overall, we would really recommend this hotel - it's on walking distance to shops, shopping malls, transport links in abundance, short walk to St Julian's and plenty of amazing restaurants in Sliema and surrounding areas. All of these amenities are within 5-30 min walks and so close to the harbour that you can see it from the hotel entrance just a very short 5 mins walk away. A great location off the main road and, therefore, very quiet. We felt extremely safe walking about at night in the area. Lidl only a 10min walk away. Beds are comfy, a/c works brilliantly, shower has a good pressure, and there's a fridge int he room. Its a perfect base for getting out and exploring, with bus-stops nearby. Its also a 15min walk from Sliema Ferries for trips to Gozo/Comino/Valetta/Three Cities. Its a 5min walk from the nearest beach, and there's literally dozens of restaurants within walking distance. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they are a wealth of local knowledge - make sure you quiz them on local hotspots. The room didn't seem clean; the bathroom had slimy, mouldy areas, and the towels and bed linens had probably been whitened a few years ago.
