So many people are staying at this tiny hostel (i counted 122 pair of shoes in the entrance) and the kitchen is so tiny. You can't be more than 2 at fhe time. The living room is crowded with luggage and there is only a 2 person couch... The bathroom are very discusting and the smell of pee is very strong... The room i had was so small for the 8 beds... While i was there, there were only one staff working at a time so customer survice was slow and i felt like i was disturbing them when i asked for something... Wifi wasnot working in the room.. Le StayIn est un endroit très mal tenu. Ca sent le truc où on fait de l'argent, point barre. Premièrement, on doit enlever ses chaussures,qu'on entasse parmi des dizaines de chaussures recouvertes de poussière qui n'ont pas du être utilisées depuis des lustres, sans doute les chaussures des autres occupants de l'immeuble. Une fois qu'on a les pieds nus, on est bien obligés de marcher sur des sols pas propres !!!! La réception est une sorte de comptoir qui date d'on ne sait pas quand, jonché d'un tas de paperasse dont on voit bien que personne ne s'occupe de la classer, il y a rarement quelqu'un présent... Les douches sont situées le long d'une sorte de couloir ainsi que les lavabos qui ne sont que de petits rince doigts. la tablette au dessus des lavabos est crasseuse comme pas possible. Le sol est en permanence couvert d'eau qui a dégouliné des douches dont les portes sont coulissantes et ferment mal. Une vraie patinoire, jour et nuit. Les cabines de douches sont des endroits où on a pas envie d'entrer, pas de carrelage, les pommeaux de douches pendouillent un peu comme ils peuvent, les murs sont délabrés, les pommeaux n'ont jamais été lavés. A la sortie du couloir, il y a un minuscule tapis, qui n'est jamais lavé, et on est forcé de marcher dessus.... J'ai d'autres à dire, en quantité, mais je n'ai pas la place ici... Also walkable distance to Singapore Bay Area (30 minutes, note that you will be walking in sun and high humidity). The hostel itself was in a prime location. However, the rooms were extremely cramped with very little room to move around. Lockers were not big enough for large baggage so had to remain on the floor (creating less space) beds were very comfy with good quality bedding. The hostel could do with more bathrooms as 2 toilets per floor wasn’t enough, and it could do with separate toilet/showers as people showering also took up the toilet for sometime. The kitchen was fantastic with adequate seating. This hostel was also not your typical hostel. It was filled with non backpacker type people. People with no hostel etiquette such as waking the whole room up at 5am or leaving the door wide open on a night. There were also family’s who would take up the whole room, making a solo traveler (like myself) very uncomfortable as I felt like I was intruding. Also the rules of the hostel did not seem to be enforced at all. There were very young children running around (naked) when the hostel was supposed to be 15+ and there were people cooking full meals in the bedrooms, using plug in appliances despite myself being told no food in the rooms. No air con in dining area. Jammed small room, comphy bed with nice new beddings (sheet, quilts, mattrass). Only local (British) power outlets (without shelves), accessible from bed. Excellent location, though.
