The building itself was finished in 2014 after a few years of planning. It was designed and built by a doctor who owned the property. The building is so well made that even with hurricane Irma we had minimal damage. Simpson Bay Area is a great place. It is a nice combination of tourism and local culture. It used to be a fisherman's village and it still holds some of that charm. It is easy to walk to restaurants and shops so people do not need to rent a car to go to places. But when you are in the apartment or on the beach you are completely away from any outside world. Overlooking the entire Simpson Bay beach, the comfortable 4000 sq. feet penthouse is equipped with everything a visitor might need. The long list of our luxurious amenities is shown below. And the penthouse itself takes up 3 floors, making the last floor the sixth floor of the building. The first floor of the penthouse consists of the kitchen, living room, dinning room, one bedroom & bathroom, laundry room, powder room, and the main terrace. On the second floor you can find a master bedroom & bathroom with its own terrace and walk in closet as well as the last bedroom with its bathroom. The third floor is the roof top terrace with jacuzzi, summer kitchen, lounging and dining area. A great selection of restaurants can be found within convenient walking distance. There was plenty of space for the six of us!It is located on the most beautiful beach on the island...you won't want or need to leave! Catamaran excursions came to our beach every day it is so beautiful. We had beach chairs/lounges available, beach towels and plenty of "floaties" to use in the water.There were many wonderful restaurants close by and around the island. We rented a car and had to plan accordingly to the SLOW traffic on the island.This property is located beside the airport. The noise from the planes was never a problem. The property is absolutely beautiful and in a fantastic location — everything was so convenient yet peaceful. The home was spotless and had everything you could possibly need to feel completely at home, making the stay super comfortable. Communication with the host was a breeze; they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful. The parking was easy and hassle-free, which made coming and going stress-free. Plus, the view from the home was stunning — truly the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Beach chairs, loungers, and floating devices provided for free, so no stress. Gated beach access. Beautiful patio where we ate all our meals and celebrated with island drinks. Roof top lounge, whirlpool and grill are great. Watching planes from the rooftop is cool. Can walk to Maho beach from there and watch the landings from the beach bar. Cool. Simona is a great host who's very accomodating and ready to respond quickly. Pictures, although great, don't do this residence any justice. You have to see it for yourself. Location is also great with many shops and food options available. I could go on and on , but if you want peace of mind, you cannot go wrong booking this appartment. A true gem. The unit was exactly as described. We had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms were all large with beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds! The kitchen, living room and indoor dining were all spacious and nicely decorated. Both the large patio and rooftop deck had amazing views with comfortable seating. Le Papillon is located on the best part of the beach. We were able to enjoy the beach and ocean right in front of the unit with easy access. Our favorite spot was right under the beautiful palm trees. Amazing restaurants and bars and shops are all in walking distance. Simona and Lorraine were both very helpful, friendly and always available. We cannot wait to come back again next year! ##### Michele T.
