The cabin itself is well stocked to feel like home, but the view is really the best part. Waking up to it can be the highlight of a lot of days that you are not hiking in the area. It’s right around the corner from Upper Cataract Lake Trail, which is very impressive if you can manage the 12-mile hike. The host is very generous with firewood and is very communicative. If you have a 4wd vehicle, I highly recommend driving up FS-200 (to the left out of the reservoir) and going up to Williams peak up the mountains across from the reservoir. The fireplace/stove looked great, but it wasn't quite cold enough to try it out.
