It develops over two floors, a surface of more than 200 square meters, private gated garden with views, sunshine and shade. Accessed through a private gate, the barn boasts a grand entrance with a 3 meter arch and an elegant staircase. Below sits a bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a wonderful open space kitchen/living/reading/dining room of 70 sq meters leading straight in to the garden. A marvelous stone fireplace sits at the center of the living room. On the first floor sit 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The marvelous original brick structure offers magnificent lighting and views over the rolling countryside. The villa was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular. We were 7 adults and two babies and the fact that we had four rooms with ensuite bathrooms was so convenient. It offered the privacy of a hotel with the downstairs layout allowing us all to be together throughout the day. Francesca was a gracious host and happy to help whenever needed. Since we stayed in April, it wasn't possible to make use of the pool (it was warm enough during one of the days, but they were not able to get the pool ready given bad weather the previous week), but that is to be expected. If we had to nitpick, I'd say the towels could be softer, and the bedding and toiletries could be nicer, but we all did just fine with it.We left hoping we'd be coming back again soon! We spent most of our time in the outdoors spaces which were so comfortable for lounging and dinner. The jasmine that lined the walls and ceiling was so fragrant and beautiful. The pool was a great size, clean and plenty of loungers. The rooms were large and all but one had an on-suite bathroom. The kitchen was stocked perfectly. Upon arrival to the property, we hoped that the villa would look as good as it looked online. The property and villa were far better than expected. Simone and Francesca proactively communicated and made the check-in process easy. Our family and friends all loved the villa, views from the outdoor sitting area, and the location which was a perfect base for day trips throughout Tuscany. This was our second trip to Tuscany and our second stay at the Villa Fienile. We can not say enough good things about the Villa, the location and most of all, Francesca and her husband. The property is spotless inside and out. It is set up perfectly for up to 4 couples or a large family. There is plenty of space inside and outside so you do not feel crammed together. Everything about it was picturesque and relaxing. This villa has all of the modern amenities but still exudes Tuscan charm. Pre- visit communication was smooth and very prompt. The highlight of the stay was the dinner cooked for us the first night by Chef Vanna and Francesca. I am not exaggerating when I say it was by far the best meal we had during our trip to Tuscany and we ate at many very nice restaurants. If you are booking a stay I would highly recommend trying to schedule a dinner. Francesca was so welcoming and there was nothing better than sitting on the veranda after a long day with a glass of wine and gazing out at the garden and countryside. This was the perfect retreat for 3-4 couples and was a good location for exploring Tuscany. You will need a car as nothing is walkable but don't let that deter you.
