"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. The location is on the main drag which is nice. But it should be 1/2 the...

"とても大きな老舗旅館、部屋も広くてびっくり。 私は朝食のみで夕食はどこかで、と思いましたが 戸倉駅周辺はわりと古ぼけていて何もなく(一件有名な蕎麦屋があるらしい) ホテル近くはほとんどのお店が閉まっていました。2月末だから、ということもあり。 なので、夕食付きのプランの方が良いかもしれません。お湯はとてもシンプルで気持ちいい、私は幸い大浴場独り占め。オフシーズンの良さです。 朝食はなんでもあるバイキング。 プライス的にも納得です。 駅までの送迎は予約したらしてくれます。"

"We stayed in this ryokan for a family trip. The city is unknown to non-Japanese people, but the people at the ryokan were so kind and helpful. Sometimes it was not easy to communicate as their English was not the best, but they tried their best to help. The meals were awesome, and the bath places were great as well. We were totally satisfied and I strongly recommend this place."

"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. "Hotel’s onsen as shown in the website pictures are for members only. Only basic dormitory style rooms were offered with public bath which had water pressure problem that 2 cannot wash at the same time. The bath uses regular, non-hot spring water which only open from 800-2000\. No hot water in the dormitory bathrooms. Hotel is well equipped with gym and game room however for members only. Wish more clarification on the booking sites for this. "
