The town is quiet, but has lots of little nooks & crannies to explore. It's also incredibly central to Bath, Glastonbury, and the rest of Somerset. That's important, because driving in the area is a bit of a slow (and sometimes stressful) process. The house is gorgeous, spacious, and has lots of modern amenities. Excellent hot water supply to the upstairs, so baths & showers were easy for our family of 5\. The beds are comfortable, and the many homey touches (Netflix, DVDs, games) made it so that my kids often didn't want to leave the house & garden for our adventures in the morning.
