We have neighbors who live next to our cabin year round and we want to respect that. The Elderberry Retreat is located in the very popular east village and the closest you can get to the lake as far as cabin rentals! Enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine upon your arrival! Two-story, 1444 square feet outfitted to suit the needs of a modern vacationer. Beautiful new hardwood flooring throughout! A fully equipped kitchen provides a user-friendly space to cook a meal. A washer and dryer in the cabin are perfect for soggy ski clothes. Entertainment options like flat-screen TVs mean you can cozy up with a good movie next to the fireplace! Large deck with table and chairs in the summertime, with a good cup of joe in hand (complimentary selection of coffee and hot cocoa are offered, of course). We have a crockpot, waffle maker, and flat griddle great for pancakes or crepes! We have a nice covered bbq area with a charcoal bbq. You will need to bring charcoal. Wifi, 2 flat-screen TVs equipped with Blu-ray players so you can access your fav programs via Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or other, DVD library, bocce ball, corn hole, foosball, and board games. The cabin has two bedrooms, each with queen beds and dressers. The loft has two double beds and a full pull out couch. New mattresses and linens. Linens - We DO provide clean linens Towels - We DO provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap for each bathroom. It's our favorite place & we are excited to share it with you! If you have a large party, multiple families, family reunion, wedding...secure multiple cabins to be close to your friends and family! Message me for details @thecabinhost. As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. The cost of this protection has been included in your rental rate and fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay. The Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $3,000 of coverage for accidental contents damage and up to $500,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest and The Cabin Host will process using the form of payment on file for Guest. There is no public transportation in Shaver Lake. In the winter you will want a 4 wheel drive vehicle or snow chains. Things to bring: Warm clothes. The evenings can get cool even in the summer. Sun screen, paper plates, napkins. We have plenty of dishes, but do not have a dishwasher. The location is great as its an easy walk into the village to restaurants and coffee shops. The cabin itself is great for a family. The kids love the loft and the front yard is large and the perfect place to play in the snow. The host is fantastic and very easy to work with. Our long weekend getaway at the Elderberry Cabin was absolutely perfect. My husband and I treated our family to a Shaver Lake vacation, and we had the best time. We’ve stayed at several different places in Shaver over the years, but this cabin was hands-down the nicest. Everything was updated and in perfect working condition—heat, running water, and all the top-notch amenities we could ever need. The views were stunning, location was easy- walking distance to town, and we especially enjoyed some fun exploring the area. A surprise highlight was the bocce court—we had such a great time learning and playing the game together. Just a short, scenic hike away, we found the lake, which was peaceful and serene, providing the rest and relaxation we were craving. We’ve stayed at a few of this host’s other cabins, but this one was immaculate. It truly made for our favorite vacation yet.
