On the second day, the smell worsened. We brought the issue to the front desk, and they offered air freshener. It wasn’t effective, and the smell remained in the room. We informed the front desk again and asked for a room swap, but were told there were none available. Instead we were told to shower on another floor and return to our original room to sleep, which was an unreasonable request for three young girls late at night. We refused and they offered a suite, but when we entered the room, we were greeted with giant hand prints on the wall, which frightened us out of our wits. Out of pure fear, we rushed out of the room and returned to the front desk where we refused another offer for a bigger suite. Instead of risking our sense of safety, we decided to return to our original room where we were prevented from showering due to the extremely unhygienic conditions. Not to mention, the pillows had yellow stains on it, making it unusable and forcing two people to share a pillow. The slippers also had visible debris in it. The cheap price may be tempting, but it’s’ not worth it if you want a comfortable stay. My welcome and checking was disastrous. The Reception desk staff do not speak english well and reception manager was rude to me and even raised his voice. The worse welcome I have ever had ! Room Service was ok but each time I needed to speak to 3-4 people before placing an order. The Concierges ( I met 2) were great ! at breakfast it is difficult to order simple things like scrambled eggs as the cooks do not understand english. My stay was a bit stressful due to the language barrier and bad service on the 1st day at check in. When I called the reception desk on my last day to order breakfast in my room, for about 35minutes , the reception staff kept on hanging up the phone in my ear as they did not understand me. The Duty Manager on the day of my check out was helpful and gave us free breakfast. The room temperature in our room was 26degrees one day. We were sweating. I asked for someone to check it but was told to open my windows and was sent a fan !
