Located at the end of a quiet subdivision on a large private lot. About the cabin. The logs were harvested in Haines, Alaska and trucked up to Valdez, Alaska where Serendipity Log Works hand peeled and scribed these logs into what I wanted. Enjoy the hand crafted all traditional mortise and tenon joinery stairs made by Precision Timberworks here in Seward. Filled with live plants and artwork. Enjoy the outside fire pit with your family and friends. Cook your days catch on the BBQ and enjoy a large kitchen to make your memories and meals. Soak in a claw foot tub, (circa early 1900's) the bracket was made by local Artist James Minden who used salvaged metal from the 1964 Great Alaskan Earthquake. Or enjoy the tile walk in shower with pebble floor. Construction was completed in the fall of 2016\. The cabin was easy to find with the instructions given to us by the host. Our first impression, when we first walked in, was how spacious and beautifully decorated the cabin was! The paintings and the plants made it feel very cozy. We loved the open floor plan with a sitting area that was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to make meals. Our beds wet very comfortable. We were so happy there was a chest freezer. We stored the salmon that we caught in it! The host supplied binoculars, bear spray and laundry detergent which is above and beyond what we expected. It was a wonderful place our family to stay and I would highly recommend it. Beautiful location. 2 eagles graced our presence in the sky upon our arrival at the home. Lovely view, art work, comfortable beds... just a short drive down to Seward marina for our adventures. We enjoyed to s'mores at the firepit... and feeding the bird with the chopped peanuts left for us. Only suggestion would be more seasonings besides salt and pepper for cooking and a peeler for potatoes- as we did catch some fish that we prepared at the home. Everything as expected and more I looked a long time for a nice place on the Kenai Peninsula. So many properties described as "authentic " or "rustic" really just meant "not that nice." This place was awesome. It was just me and my wife though this was a 3 bedroom. It was worth every extra penny. Close to Seward. Convenient enough for Soldotna. The owner had thought of everything. Meals were easy to prepare with the well-stocked kitchen. Washroom supplies were generous and the shower and tub design are great. The artwork is beautiful throughout.
