Be warned that it may be hard to get the kids to leave the cabin behind when they’re settled into their room (equipped with en suite bathroom), packed with video and board games Your younger guests will feel like they’re in their own luxurious mountain treehouse. Security: For your safety, there is a video camera OUTSIDE the property, facing the driveway, that is recording at all times. We like to leave our guests in peace but if you need anything, you can rely on us to answer any questions or help you get settled in - we’re available from 9 am to 8 pm EST daily via the booking platform. House Rules Check-in/ Check-Out: Check in is 4pm. Check out is 10am. Minimum age to rent: 25 years old ID/Rental agreement/Security deposit hold: After booking, we require ID, signed rental agreement and a security deposit hold (not a charge). It's very easy, I promise! We provide a set amount of dish detergent, dishwasher and laundry pods, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. Depending upon your length of stay, you may require extra items. We require a $500 off-platform security hold but it will not be placed until 2 days prior to arrival and released 5 days after departure, if no damages are reported. We use a hotel-style software called OwnerRez to safely take off-platform bookings and security deposits. Smoking Policy: No smoking of any kind inside or outside on the decks. If smoke is detected inside the home, then a minimum of $500 fee for smoke remediation will be enforced. Extra Guests: Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. Additional guests will be charged at $100 per night per guest. Party Policy: No parties or events. Pet Policy: No pets allowed because of severe allergies. We charge a minimum of $250 for pet damages. Pool Policy: Pool room is locked with a code required to enter. NO DIVING. Pool is approximately 3 feet deep. Pool temperature is set to 83 degrees. Swim at your own risk. All children under 18 need adult supervision. BBQ: Please clean off grill after use. Cabin arrival: All roads are paved but under rare icy conditions, All Wheel Drive may be necessary to navigate the roads. Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance is highly suggested due to unforeseen events that may alter your travel plans. We do not reimburse for weather/natural disasters/power outages or any other things beyond our control. Wi-Fi: Our home is secluded in the mountains, which can bring occasional Wi-Fi interference. We do have Starlink Wi-Fi which provides great internet speeds for streaming. Off Limit Areas: Owners' closet in theater room. Pool mechanicals in pool room. Pest Control: Our cabin is professionally treated by a licensed pest control company on a regular basis. We hope that you’ll appreciate the fact that being in the heart of the National Park does create certain challenges in the area. It is best to always close the doors behind you. Everything worked as described in the listing and we enjoyed espresso in the morning (I watched a YouTube video), the hot tub, games on the decks, grilling out, the fire pit, air hockey, streaming shows, and the small, warm, refreshing pool. It is a cool house that is beautifully decorated! The home is close to the Townsend entrance which is much less crowded. We spent a couple of days in the Cades Cove area including a 5 mile round trip hike to beautiful Abrams Falls (several inclines, rocky in parts, beautiful falls). We also saw a bear family on the highway leading to Cades Cove and then 2 more on the Cades Cove loop. Made the easy hike to Cataract Falls, too. The Little River is gorgeous. The wifi worked great (download driving directions before you leave the house) and the kitchen was modern and well-equipped. It would be a great multi-generational rental although there are stairs to the main floor. We ended up liking Townsend for cafes and restaurants. Peaceful Side Social has great salads and pizza, gourmet, fine dining at Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro (advanced reservations), The Heavenly Roast for nearby coffee and great baked goods or the Dancing Bean. We did eat at the great Local Goat (reservations) and had wonderful Southern fried chicken at Applewood Farmhouse in Pigeon Forge (go before noon and shop at the nice outlet mall). This cabin was the perfect fit for our family. It was our first vacation letting our kids bring friends and there was plenty of space and so much to do in the area. The hosts were excellent and were on top of everything! Love the extra touch where they gave us places to eat, local attractions, and areas to sightsee. It was greatly appreciated! We have stayed at so many cabins in and around Gatlinburg that after a while it feels like if you stayed in one, you have stayed in them all, but truly this one was a cut above the rest. So much thought was put into this home. Each bedroom has its own generous sized bathroom. The hot tub and pool both have a bathroom with shower right next to them. The pool was bigger and deeper than expected. The whole cabin was loved by the two most hard to please kiddos in the whole world. They didn’t even ask about Dollywood if that you tells you anything. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you to Erica and Jay for allowing us to use this home and for checking in on us during our stay. Oh and so very important, it’s probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed. No dust. Not even under the beds. ##### Mary W. This was the nicest cabin rental we ever had. Communication with host was outstanding and thorough. Very informative information package. The cleanest place we’ve ever stayed at in the area. It was just my wife and I, but it is perfect for a family. Paved parking area was nice. The pool & hot tub were spotless. This is a wonderful cabin and we hope to return! ##### Mike M. Family went to nearby Dollywood, some went to nearby Gatlinburg. Everyone would have been just as happy to stay at the cabin. We had everything we needed to cook what we wanted. Indoor pool, arcade games, theater room, family games and cozy rocking chairs provided relaxing entertainment for guests of all ages. Erica and Jay were always quick to respond with the rare question (didn't have many questions as they provided timely details with everything we needed). I already miss the cedar smell that greets you as you walk in the door. Oh - did i mention how clean everything was? I HIGHLY recommend. ##### Jenn P.
