It is known for being the hometown of country music superstar Dolly Parton. The city is situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and various attractions. We are closely located to The Island, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and Splash Country. Getting Around: Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, are popular tourist destinations nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. Here's some information about getting around in these areas: Walking: The downtown area of Gatlinburg is compact and pedestrian-friendly, making walking a convenient way to explore the shops, restaurants, and attractions in the city center. Trolleys: Gatlinburg offers a trolley system that operates throughout the city and nearby areas. The trolleys run on several routes, including the Gatlinburg Parkway, connecting various points of interest. The fare is reasonable, and you can purchase an all-day pass for unlimited rides. Car: Having a car can be beneficial for exploring the wider area around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, especially if you plan to visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park or other nearby attractions. Please do not touch or tamper with the cameras. SMOKY MOUNTAIN WILDLIFE: If you see wild animals during your stay please do not feed them. Stay away from them. Bears are definitely home in the Great Smoky Mountains and our guests have been known to see them occasionally. Be sure to put all garbage into the bear cage located outside the cabin, securing the locks. If you leave garbage outside, it will attract little critters & bears. HOUSEKEEPING: We do not send a cleaning crew to the property during your stay. Only prior to your arrival and after your departure. We do provide a starter set of disposable and personal hygiene products, but be prepared to need additional supplies based upon your guest count and length of stay, ENTERTAINMENT: Please bring your streaming subscription login/passwords for use on Smart TVs (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Hulu, etc). We truly liked staying here but we didn’t realize until we arrived that you have to take the stairs to the 3rd floor - no elevator. That would have been a disaster if my mother in law would have come as she can’t do but a couple of stairs. The pool and water pad are wonderful. The location near Tanger outlet was awesome. It seemed updated within the last year. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Location on the strip was easy to find, and easy to get to. We would not hesitate to stay again at this location. Our only less than perfect things (but not negatives) were the following: Condo is in a location with some more permanent residents. So surroundings were a little loud at night but not really bothersome while in the condo. Residents were very friendly and nice. Condo/apartment is on the 3rd floor. We may have overlooked this fact. It wasn't really a big deal except loading and unloading with a 5 year old and a 8 month old. We had some car trouble on our first day in Pigeon Forget that required us to get a loaner. I reached out via message to see if they needed the tag number etc. I never got a reply that pertained to my question. I also reached out to ask a question about the location of the fuse box (I was overlooking) and never received a reply, however, I found the solution and sent an additional text telling them not to feel obligated to reply since I had found the fuse box. My only concern was, would we have gotten a reply if we needed something more important. Lastly, the showers heads were mounted high in the showers.
