It was a quiet neighborhood setting just outside of town. It was about 7 miles outside of Pigeon Forge so it was close enough to town to go for food and entertainment, but far enough outside town to enjoy the peaceful setting and nature. The beds and couches were very comfortable for relaxing and sleeping. The outside amenities were perfect with the hot tub and seating areas outside in the back yard. What brought our rating down a star was just a few small things. For example the coffee maker did not have a pot to go along with it. It is an older house but the renovations make it a nice house. We enjoyed the piano. We liked that there was space to be together as a family and enough room to separate as well. We would love to come back in the fall or winter and use the wood stove. We truly enjoyed the fire pit and patio. The only downside was the pool that was “closed due to weather” which happened in the morning. The evening was beautiful but the pool was closed for the whole day. That had nothing to do with the house but is a must know if you have kids ready for the pool. The charcoal grill is rough ( still usable) but the owner informed us that it was being replaced. Your home was everything we needed, my mom is handicapped and the step in -showers and limited steps to enter the residence was ideal. Moms trips are becoming harder but your home was comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare meals and relax. Wasn't able to enjoy the patio and firepit because of rain and the late times we returned for the evenings. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the process was simple. We did try to go to Cades Cove and I made the executive decission to try Roaring Fork instead and it did pay off with getting to watch a couple bear cubs playing , without being run off by rangers since there wasn't hundreds of cars idling behind us.
