Bears truly do abound in this cozy 2+ bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury cabin. Small enough to serve as your dream romantic couple’s getaway, yet big enough to sleep 8-10 for larger family get-togethers, Bears Abound is the best place to enjoy the majestic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Relax and soak in the breathtaking views from our bubbling hot tub or enjoy the same spectacular view from a relaxing rocking chair on the second floor deck. Bears Abound features two private master suites with King-sized beds and full bathrooms. The second level master suite also has a private, indoor jetted tub. For the kids (or the young at heart), there is a “loft-in-a-loft” with 2 Queen-sized beds and a “crow’s nest” with a full-sized futon. If you like games, Bears Abound will not disappoint! You have your choice of foosball and pool. For those who prefer peace and quiet, imagine curling up with a good book in front of the picture window or snuggle up in front of the cozy fireplace with the Great Smoky Mountains as your backdrop. Guests will receive free high-speed internet/WIFI, access to the resort's pool during the summer and exercise facility/steam room. Bears Abound has it all!

We stole away from the Knoxville area for a last-minute trip for the 4th. The cabin was beautiful and very pet-friendly. It's in a little neighborhood with similar cabins, but it was fairly quiet. The views were stunning! And the game room: a hit for sure for all of us!! The pool was a great extra, but it's small for the size of the neighborhood and got crowded quickly (but, it was a holiday weekend ...). Wears Valley and Townsend are fun to check out, and the cabin area is not far from the west entrance to the GSMNP. Beware though, holiday weekends are super crowded in this area!! All in all, a great last-minute getaway!!

Great Cabin for a Family/Group

Our stay at Bears Abound was excellent! We had a family of five plus an extra adult. There was more than enough room for everyone. The kids (ages 15, 13, and 8) loved sleeping in the loft areas, and the whole group spent the majority of time on the second floor playing pool, air hockey, and foosball. Although we didn’t use them, there were several board games and puzzles available. The cabin was clean and beautiful and had everything we could have needed. Property owner Jeff was very quick to respond to any questions and was super helpful with recommendations for activities since it was our first visit to the area. If we are ever back in the area, we would love to stay at Bears Abound again!

Wonderful cabin!

We loved our 6 night stay. Very clean, spacious cabin, with lots of amenities. The pool and hot tub were a wonderful way to end our days. Beautiful views, loved that it is pet friendly, and enjoyed the multiple bear sightings below the deck. Excellent communication with our host. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful cabin in a great neighborhood!

I booked this cabin for my family's late May 2025 vacation to the area. The cabin is located in The Preserve Resort, which is a wonderful neighborhood with several cabins, a fitness center, and community pool. We loved the peacefulness of sitting out on the back porch in the evening gazing into the forest. Our teens (ages 18 and 16) loved the air hockey and pool tables upstairs. We were also very happy that both bedrooms had a TV in the them. The loft had two queen beds in it, but the lights didn't work up there on the ceiling. There was a working lamp between the two beds though. The other loft only had a full-size futon mattress on the floor. Our sixteen year old was originally going to sleep up on one of the queen beds, but due to his occasional sleepwalking, he decided instead to sleep on the couch in the living room downstairs. We loved looking at the pics on the wall of all the dogs who had stayed there before. The location was perfect, even with the sometimes step, winding road leading up to the resort. We didn't get to try out the pool because the code wouldn't work, but Mr. Jeff was very understanding and apologetic as he tried to help us. We were later given a backup code, but we had already made other plans by that point. Also, the washing machine in the cabin works good, but the dryer lacks a lot to be desired. Two towels in there for 30 minutes were still soggy wet when removed. All-in-all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Perfect for our needs!

We had an exceptional stay at Bears Abound. The place was very clean and had plenty of activities to keep us busy during our time there. It was also in good proximity to many of the activities we wanted to do in Pigeon Forge but felt far enough away that we were in a cabin in the woods. We would highly recommend and are already discussing going back!

Smoky Mountains Vacation

Everything was perfect. Mr. Green is a wonderful host, and went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. Starting every day with an insane view of the Smokies was unbelievable, and the proximity of the property allows its guests to enjoy the National Park as well as the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. My wife and I had a great time at Bears Abound. There was more than enough space for us to enjoy and the game tables were a great bonus! The check-in & check-out process was very smooth. I highly recommend this cabin for any couple or family to enjoy.

Our family and dog loved the cabin, resort, and view! Jeff was an amazing host, and extremely responsive and helpful! The cabin was clean, and had everything stocked that we needed to cook, relax, play games, and have fun as a family. We enjoyed all the game tables, the hot tub...everything really!

Quick Trip to Smokies

Nice cabin. Description provided is accurate. Closer to neighbors than other cabins we’ve stayed in, but we knew that going in. Perfect for large families (6 of us). We didn’t bring our dogs, but we did originally plan to and it would have worked great. Don’t ignore the bear signs, we saw one cross the road 3 cabins away as we were pulling in one evening. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Bears Abound. The all around views are breathtaking. The game room was perfect for those with kids. Mine enjoyed the fooseball table, pool table, and air hockey table. It's perfect for a family with older children. My kids were entrained with the foosball, pool table, air hockey table and beautiful views of the Smokey Mountains from both decks! It was both cozy and spacious for my family. I would highly recommend staying here to my family and friends!

Our stay at Bears Abound in The Preserve Resort was a wonderful experience. The cabin is nestled in the Smoky Mountains, providing breathtaking views and a truly serene atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with my sisters. Highlights: Hot Tub: Clean, easy to use, and perfect for unwinding with stunning mountain views. Comfortable Beds: Incredibly comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep after exploring. Cleanliness: Very clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant smell throughout. Spacious and Well-Stocked: Ample room for everyone, with a well-stocked kitchen for easy meal prep. Games and Family Time: Enjoyed foosball, pool, air hockey, board, and card games for fun and bonding. Quiet and Beautiful: Perfect for a peaceful retreat. Washer and Dryer: Convenient in-cabin laundry for a large group. Owner's Responsiveness: The owner was responsive, kind, and respectful, promptly addressing any concerns. Minor Inconvenience: Great having pool access, but it's a bit of a climb on foot, so we drove. Walking access would have been nice. Recommendation: Full-Length Mirror: Adding a full-length mirror would be great for checking appearances before heading out. Overall, we had an amazing time at Bears Abound. The combination of beautiful surroundings, comfort, and excellent amenities made it a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable retreat in the Smoky Mountains.
