Welcome to The Nest. An Original Smoky Mountain Cabin. This true log cabin originally built in the 1700's was disassembled and rebuilt in its current location. This Cabin is secluded and off the beaten path. If that's what you are looking for then you found it! But the cabin is still close to everything! Best of both worlds! You get the authentic atmosphere of the Smokies with the rustic appeal, but all the modern amenities you could want. This cabin has been completely REHABBED with tons of custom features that give it the Smokies character with a modern touch. Sleeps up to 4, but great for that couple getaway or that perfect honeymoon. Two beautiful decks. One with all the privacy off the master and the hot tub with wooded and mountain views. Electric Fireplace (for Ambiance only, no heat) for that romantic/ cozy atmosphere.
A HUGE walk-in Couples Shower with rain head. This cabin has a history that still shows on the barn-style master bedroom door. It shows all the love from the previous guest who stayed at this cabin on their Honeymoon and left their mark when it was a Honeymoon cabin years ago. It's truly a ONE-OF-A-KIND! Easy to get to and a beautiful drive up the mountain with spectacular views of Mt LeConte on the way. (Only partial views of Mt LeConte from the front of cabin, wooded views from master bedroom deck and side deck) One lane, very well-maintained gravel lane to cabin. Secluded atop a beautiful mountain but just 7 miles from Gatlinburg. Less than 5 minutes off the Arts and Crafts Trail. 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge. The perfect location for your Smoky Mountain experience in a TRUE Smoky Mountain Cabin. THIS IS NOT A PET-FRIENDLY CABIN. THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED AT THIS CABIN RENTAL. Please be aware Internet is hit and miss up in the mountains We have tried to find better service but satilite Internet is all that is available at this time.

This is amazing cabin. With other cabins nearby, we still had the feeling that we were in a very private and secluded setting. For the most part the sounds of nature were all that we heard. Check-in was easy, our travel time was longer than expected. We had all of the information with us. The Check-out process was even better. I was surprised how well our GPS work in the area this year. It took us directly to the cabins. The roads in some places were narrow and windy. However, that was not a problem for us because we like traveling the back roads of the Smokies. This year turned out the easiest for us in getting around in the area. The kitchen was one of the smaller ones that we had in the past. However, it worked for us. The bed was very comfortable. We love hearing the rain hatting the metal roof. The wall decoration above the fireplace impressed me. It is the logo of our church. If someone is looking for a cabin that is very private and secluded, this is the one for you.

If you are looking for a private “off the beaten path to get away from the hustle and bustle of life” cabin, The Nest is the place. We enjoyed the peaceful environment. The cabin is rustic yet has all the modern elements to make it comfortable.

Beautiful Smokey Mountain Getaway!

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer!!! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we got so many ideas for our future home! It is definitely off the beaten path but that’s exactly what I wanted. We will be back!

A perfect birthday getaway!

This little “nest” is so cute and perfect for a quick escape from reality. Gave me most relaxing birthday I’ve celebrated in years! It was so nice just to spend time together in a quiet and peaceful space. The cabin was clean and organized, it had everything we needed! Thank you Kathy for being such a great host. One of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been to. My boyfriend & I wanted for nothing in this cabin, it was perfect! From the drive up to the cabin itself & the hot tub! There’s not much more you can ask for. Hosts were lovely, welcoming & quick with responses. They also provided info on attractions/food in the area so we really got to make the best of it! HUGE FANS OF CHARMIN THE BEAR!

Wanted a secluded place in the woods…yes this was it, road a little scary getting there but worth it!! Has everything you need, comfy bed…slept great and a hot tub we enjoyed after our long days of walking. Loved the bear theme as my girlfriend loves bears. Very nice place to get away! Will visit again! Appreciate all the special touches in your cabin. Took a pic with Charman every day!

A true retreat!

This is a lovely rustic cabin. All the modern amenities you want, but in a cabin from the 1700's. The cabin felt a bit more remote than the standard fare around Gatlinburg, which I liked. It is also VERY close to the Smokey Mountain arts and crafts community area, which was fantastic for my wife and I. I spent most of our days going from shop to shop and loved every bit of it.The cabin has a hot tub off the back deck and feels quite secluded. Maybe 1 other cabin could see on to the back deck, but you have lots of privacy.We had pretty solid 5G connection with our phone and the wifi/internet provided seemed just fine to me. It was nice that they include Youtube TV, which my wife and I used at night once we were ready to call it a night.The host was easy to communicate with and was very helpful and informative.My ONLY real negative is the drive up to the cabin, especially the last 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Maybe my age is just making me less adventurous, but the last bit of road is more challenging than I cared for. Single lane, gravel road with blind turns on inclines and declines just wasn't great for me.We loved our time at the cabin and would definitely consider going back, but I would plan accordingly to not drive up the lane after dark.

It’s a beautiful cabin in a beautiful area!! There was some confusion on getting there as the road to the cabin looked like a private drive. Once there, you want to stay! Hot tub was NICE! Clean and comfortable! If I ever get back this way, I’ll stay here!

Cabin was very nice, exactly as described and clean. Dishes in the kitchen was a very nice touch. Love, love, loved the shower. The bench and mirror in the bathroom was a nice surprise. Bed was super comfortable. Hot tub was lovely and private. Location was good despite the winding road to get there. Great communication with the owner. Would visit again.

We were very pleased with the cabin and interaction with property owner. The gravel road was not an experience to repeat. No pull off and blind spots due to rises and turns made driving after dark an especially unpleasant experience.

Best little nest!!!

This is our 3rd year in a row returning to the Nest! It’s our home away from home! Very clean, well stocked, secluded and CLEAN hot tub, super comfy bed and a true smoky mountain original, nostalgic cabin! Great communication with the owner! This is the perfect little nest to disconnect with the world and reconnect with each other. Wi-Fi for streaming was perfect. We will be back for many years to come!

Winter break getaway

We had a wonderful time, with a little extra adventure in the 3-4” snow and 11 degree temperatures. The snow and icy road were a little challenging for our non-4 wheel drive truck but everything with our stay was perfect. Secluded, clean, nicely maintained, beautiful scenic views in the travels to and from.

Lovely cabin

What an amazing cabin. Feels so homey and cozy! This cabin is beautifully restored and the modern touches are beautiful. The hosts really showed "true southern hospitality" with the extras in the kitchen, and living room. (coffee and filters, small space heater, etc). We loved the cabin... Know the road to is narrow and curvy. We would enjoy staying again!
