The location is so convenient, and the property is very clean. Including breakfast in this price is a huge bonus. I was in the smaller room with just 8 beds and the room was very quiet even though it was fully booked. The pod has enough space and privacy for sleeping. The only thing I would say to keep in mind is that luggage is left outside so there isnt much space to open your suitcase and pack but its manageable. They did provide soap and shampoo and all the tiny flannels you desired. Also, very little privacy in the bathroom area. You get what you pay for, and it was cheap. Thin mattress, no alarms allowed in the sleeping area. Breakfast was provided, which was nice, but it was only available until 10am and I never woke up because no alarms. I understood the need for the rules. But the bathroom thing... Kinda really disappointed me. It was clean though! You're also left to figure everything out by yourself, which again, we all did, but is always nice to have someone who knows what they're doing at your fingertips. I digress...the cube itself was fine, bed, clean sheets, a mirror, outlet and hangers. My issue with the hostels I stayed at in SK, including this one, is that there is nowhere to store luggage. the lockers are too small and there is no floor space. This means people are leaving their larger luggage unattended in the reception area. It felt safe and they say there is cctv, but as someone who has had things stolen before it was very uncomfortable. Location was good, close to transit and shopping, as long as you're ok staying in Myeongdong, to me it's a bit like Times Square in NYC. The rooms smells really bad. The bathrooms you are not suppose to flush the toilet paper. So you can just imagine the smell. The lockers were so small you can barely fit a travel size backpack. English was not a problem either, unfortunately it was often very loud and the other guests did not follow the room rules. Despite this, the location is incredibly good, especially for this price. The palace is only a 5-minute walk away, perfect for a safe evening stroll around the palace. City Hall is practically right next to the hotel, so you can always pop over to events.
