There was no mattress topper so you are sleeping directly on top of the springs. I used the duvet as extra padding and it was OK. Water pressure is really bad, could hardly shower. But again, this is a great location and I didn´t spend that much time in the room anyway. Fire security is taken very seriously, the room is well equipped with fire extinguisher and even an escape system for climbing out the window.
