However, it is important to note that this place is not for everyone! For us, the location was absolutely incredible. We are big walkers, and we didn't take the subway or a taxi once (except to the airport) - you can walk everywhere from here! It is also right near a fabulous 'food street' which is bustling every night with different restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is lovely (both my husband and I had work-related calls we had to take, and it was just so wonderful to sit out in the courtyard - almost like we weren't working!). Leo, the young proprietor, speaks outstanding English, and all of the staff we encountered there were friendly and helpful, even when language was a barrier! However, it is important to note that it is very 'minimalist', with mattresses on the floor, a teeny tiny bathroom/shower, hand towels only, nowhere in the room to sit or put anything down other than the floor, and the soundproofing between rooms isn't great. I kept wondering what the experience would have been like for my parents, who are in their 70s and have bad knees etc?! Also, 'breakfast' is a freeze-dried 'cup noodles' and water, so don't be fooled into thinking this is a 'B&B'. I was looking forward to fresh Bibimbap in the morning, but instead we ate out (I need my coffee).
