As you walk, you'll go in old train tunnels, walk under tropical canopies, and stroll on the grass "sidewalks" until the trail picks up again. There are great views of the ocean, homes, and plants. In Bermuda, you are allowed to paint your house the color of your choice but the roof must be white. This is because there is no fresh water source on the island so each home harvests rain water to use in the home. The water is stored under the house in large tanks. But why white? The white used to be from lime mortar that has anti-bacterial properties, now the the roofs are painted white which reflects UV light from the sun and helps purify the water. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They couldn't be more attentive all around the facility from the main desk to the beach crew and the maid service. They gave us a great upgrade and a later checkout because our flight didn't leave until 3:30 pm. Amenities were excellent. Restaurants (Lina and the bar) had delicious food for all of their meals and the prices were in line with local restaurants. The only complaint was that the dinner menu in the restaurant was a little limited. Otherwise we were extremely impressed and happy with our stay. I would definitely recommend the St.Regis Resort. It's a great out of the way, quiet place near the town of St Georges.
