The wrap around deck provided a pleasant dining option with a variety of singing birds. There was a well stocked kitchen and the host was quick to respond to a dishwasher issue. The views are amazing and the owner was very responsive. We did have a lot of trouble during our stay. There were a few small problems, like the hot tub being 61 degrees and food being left in the fridge from previous tenants, but we can overlook that. The big problem was the sewer system. We had the toilets backing up from day one. Water was dripping from the basement ceiling and it made a bad smell throughout the house. The owner got someone there in a timely manner to fix it, but the same issue happened again as soon as the plumber left. We were unable to shower, flush or even run water in the sink that day after hiking at the Grand Canyon all day. They did come back the next day and fix the problem, but left backed up sewer water in the shower and tub. We had to go out and buy bleach and cleaner so that we didn't have to stand in it. Hopefully these problems get fixed. If the plumbing was good, we would have really enjoyed our stay. ##### Stewart H. The inexperienced owner gave us check-in instructions for a different property. The home was not cleaned and the hot tub water was not sanitary. We then found out that the hot water had been turned off and the heat was not working. This was the last week of December. We had to meet the heating contractor who told us he had advised the owner to replace the furnace but the owner had not done so. It was difficult to communicate with the owner since he was out of the country with limited reception and he does not have a local property manager. He had his cleaning service stop by one time to try to help with the heat. Also, 3 of the bedrooms are in the basement without windows and are difficult to heat. The owner said he was willing to work with us regarding all the problems but now is not responding. We have found that the owner is not licensed with Sedona to rent this home. ##### John H.
