Located close to downtown but to get there its not a quick walk due to how the roads are . Lots of stairs . My concern is where the room is located in the building. The shower is modern and clean and the air is fresh. The trees are tall surrounding the cozy room. The kitchen and laundry are very nice though we didn’t use them. The host is very friendly and quick to with a response. And it’s only a few blocks away from Seattle Pacific University! It is small, but all you need. There is a coffee maker and small fridge in the unit but also a shared kitchen on the first floor. It appears to be newly renovated and was very clean. I was on the 2nd floor (of 2) and there is no elevator (just in case that could be a problem). It is in a nice neighborhood and there is a bus stop half a block away. Lots of restaurants and cute shops, even a Trader Joe's you can walk to! I did not have a car but it looked like there was plenty of street parking. The manager was in touch and made sure I had checked in. It is not a hotel, but rather an a extended stay guest house for a younger, more athletic clientele, who could drag heavy luggage up two flights of stairs. As we are two 78 year olds with heart conditions,it was not a good match. The room itself was clean and comfortable if very spartan. There was a $47 cleaning fee that made our one night stay more expensive than any comparable hotel. There was an inordinate amount of paperwork for a hotel, paperwork that seemed more in line with an Airbnb. Still if you fit their demographic, I would recommend it. The room where we stayed was on the third floor and there is no elevator in the building. It would’ve been nice to know this upfront before we booked. So this is not very friendly to seniors who have to carry luggage. We also had trouble getting into our room due to a problem with the key code; also disappointing. We had to call property management to get the key code reset in order to get into the room. Additionally, the guest were required to provide a Roku stick or a Firestick in order to access the TV. We have never encountered this before and any prior hotel we have stayed in. Again, it would’ve been nice for us to be notified prior to booking.
