Walking almost everywhere we wanted to go was easy and challenging (in a good way) at the same time... the stairs all over the place to downtown were impressive, we came up along WestLake to Highland to Galer and climbed up so many stairs, was a great working. We walked to Paramount Theater, Pike Market, Le Pichet, and all over the place. I had thought we'd use the bus too, but the weather was terrific and we needed the exercise. The neighborhood itself had great restaurants and Trader Joe's right around the corner. The neighborhood is very residential and hilly but very close to great views and restaurants.
